Good deal, but too COLD to go in the garden.

 You can reserve and collect this also. Just reserved 7 bags - that's me sorted for the year. Thanks OP

Reserved six, if they have them in stock will collect and then use reservation tomorrow to get another six! Our little allotment area needs topping up! HEAT added::evil:

okay if you only want a small bag, but its only 20L. I normally buy 4x75L bags for £10, you're better off going to a garden centre and seeing what deals are on.

300 litres of compost for £10. I suggest you post it on here - should be hotter than ever:thumbsup:

Tried the one in St Helens yesterday, ALL GONE ! But they did have BIGGER bags on a buy 3 for £10 deal, I swear they were 70 litre bags, so seemed a better deal. Will pop back in on Monday and suss it out as was to cold hang around yesterday, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I too would like to know where your getting 300L for £10

Sydney2002 - coincidentally I also went to the St Helens one yesterday to check it out! :w00t:

And yes, the 3 for £10 ones are 70L. So if you are looking for a larger amount, that "standard" offer is better value than this "special" one!

most diy stores will do 3 for £10 or 4 for £12 on 75l or 80l multi purpose compost in the coming month - have done every year since I can remember. Homebase and BQ will definately have better deals per litre i n the coming weeks - though it is interesting to note that these "big bags" have shrunk in size over the years from 90litres to 80 litres to 75 litres , wouldnt surprise me if this year it was 60 litres.

Homebase standard price for 100 litres of enriched multi purpose is £6.99 (£6.29 on 10% off days - equiv to £1.26 for 20litres ) by way of comparison

just had a call to say my reservation cancelled as they ran out as soon as the store opened this morning, going in to look at the crown paints, so will check out the other deals...thanks for the heads up guys!

There was a range of composts knocked down to similar prices yesterday at the Sighthill branch of B&Q. if anyone's interested, be quick.

They had 33L ones for £1.56 which works out cheaper.

i just get the open bag ones

alot cheaper and most have all the soil left in

Like whats been said before, not a great deal if buying in bulk.
Ok price for one bag maybe?

Seen today 4 FOR £12 at Wickes 75 Litre bags (Sunderland Branch)

btw when ive just been online their system has just let me reserve 5 for collection tomorrow in st helens, if they have none there there will be hell to pay

im certain b&q multipurpose compost won which best buy aswell. not bad for topping up but the 3 for £10 is going to be on pretty much all season.

For the sake of the environment go for peat free!

Cant buy

i do when the 70ltr bags are 3 for £10, but otherwise its peoples wallets that get looked after rather than the environment

This stuff is great for planting seeds but if its general use for growing your veg etc most local councils have community composting centres where you can get your comp0st almost for free. But I do find the compost you buy better for seeds I have to admit...
