Hey, saw this cool colour changing light in B&Q, not sure if this is on offer or general sale price but it is cheap for this type of item (so purchased 5 myself).

Item is a white ball which when switched on changes colour through the spectrum, perfect to relax or for kids! It is quiet bright as well, worth a visit.

Instore only deal.

First post not sure how to add pictures...any help??

Thanks for posting and welcome to HUKD. I have added an image to your post.
This is a link, made by rayman, which explains how to add images in great detail. It’s worth taking a look at if you are going to post more deals in future : - hotukdeals.com/ite…hr/

Because it does not say it went from £10 to £1.50 (just making up). It is just perception we all have! Recently I saw a deal stating half price toaster (it sounds tempting) but when I have checked another store it was at the same price but they just did not stated that it is half of the RRP!!!
So I guess shop who stated this item as half price possibly sold loads... But other did not!

Battery operated lights are just a pain as you end up avoiding putting them on as you know the batteries will be getting zapped. For kids Ikea do a much better rechargable ]soft glow light . I'd rather pay a bit more than have to change the batteries all the time!

ignore me

Just got the phone call to say they didnt have any stock after all:(

these are really good ...reserved 3 at reading

Don't know how I've lived without one - now my life will be complete!

Poundshop had these at "Guess what) £1.00,,,,,, dont be fooled they take 3 cell batteries.

These have never been priced at more than £1.50 in B&Q, they are flexible plastic white balls around 3 inches in diameter that are battery powered and glow when turned on. They cycle through the colours automatically and you cannot choose to keep on one colour. They don't seem to have any set timing for how long they stay on colours because you can turn 5 balls on at the same time and after 2 minutes one will be red, one green, one blue etc.

If you want it for a bit of fun or for the kids bedroom they're fine but don't expect them to give out much light because they don't.

Also I've found that after turning them on and off a few times they simply stop working at all. I lined 8 up, turned them all on, back off and on again (to try to get them in sync) and only 3 came back on so the build quality isn't really very good. That said like i said earlier, just for fun they're ok if you dont care about the fact they won't last very long.

Also don't worry about them selling out, my store had a pallet load of them delivered about 4 months ago and there is still about 80% of it left after 4 months of being on display in front of the lighting section (ie not tucked away somewhere)

That Ikea light haunts me ...... has it gone or is it still there?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... etc.

The Works had these at 99p a few months ago - I bought 30

Splice them to a USB cable and they will make a warm addition to any office.

Thankyou. Reserved 2 of apparently "low stock", luckily I'm passing B&Q tomorrow so not really a problem if out of stock when I get there.

Just been phoned - no stock. :-(

Thanks for the comprehensive descrption. They sound like the set of three I bought from Woolies for £20 a few years ago - only mine are rechargeable and charge when you put them on the base.

That's because they haven't got crystal oscillators to keep the timing precise. I prefer them not to be doing the same thing.

tried to reserve some of these - they said they are not enough available for my order, and suggested alternative colour changing dinosaur and pig animals, but I couldn't find it on the website, so I cancelled the order. They said the price for the alternative item was £2.50.

If it stops working give it a sharp tap on the silver label at the bottom, that will shift the cells back into alignment and it should come back on again!
