Why are decent bins so expensive! I have been looking around for a decent kitchen bin. Have come across this which seems to be a good deal - normally you find Brabantia bins on the wrong side of £50.
Brabantia are known for their expensive bins along with being of very good quality - a silent closing being a nice feature.
Sainsbury's had this at £54.99 so saving of £27.99 - half price. Tesco seem to have it on at £54.97

Looks good - will this take standard bin liners would you know? These seem to be the cheapest refills.
Aren't 30L on the smaller side for a regular cooking family? 45L or 50L seems to be the right size.

Though this is a hot deal considering Brabantia prices elsewhere.
I use an Asda carrier bag in the bathroom,Sainsburys one in the kitchen and for a bit of class a Waitrose on in the living room, all hung from 3 inch nails in the wall. Now how cheap is that?
exexpat - I would have thought so - but check the size of the bin liners
maverik_77 - its a decent size but 45L or 50L would be nice but the prices are eye-wateringly expensive - they are bins!

Yes, it is expensive. I learnt it the hard way. Had a 50L swing bin until my son broke it. So to gain a bit of space i went to a pedal 30L and feel the pain. Having a toddler at home plus cooking regularly gets it filled up nearly every day. Considering how much bin liners cost these days i feel going for a bigger bin would pay in the long run.
thats espensive I saw some similar ones 20 quid in Wilko. they also have mini brabantia £4.50
superpal - similar being the operative word - I was about to buy the ones in wilko, you can actually get them for £15, but the build quality is naff - use the pedal the lid will make a lound clanging noise when it hits the rim, doesn't fit the rim neatly, just poor quality all round. I then tried out the brabantia bins in dun-elm, the quality is worlds apart but the price they had it on for was around £85!! Thats why when I saw this deal, thought it was a bargain in comparison. Just hoping its the same build quality that I saw.
