Brabantia Lift-O-Matic 50m Rotary Airer inc Accessories, now £49.99 at Amazon. A while since it's been this price. I bought two from Amazon months back on separate occasions and both ended up returned by the delivery company due to the packaging being damaged. I've since bought it from Argos when it was on offer and have been really pleased with it. The mechanism is really good and it ensures that the lines always have tension in them. It has a score of 4.6 with over 2000 reviews on Amazon. 5 year guarantee from Brabantia too.

It's also available without the green cover and pegs/bag for £45.99 but the cover in particular is probably worth having for the extra £4. The bag is pretty good too - I suspect it's waterproof but haven't had enough rain in the last few months to really test it! (The free wooden pegs are nothing to write home about though)

I have this excellent airer can’t recommend enough! Paid £50 for mine 2 years ago from Amazon on a deal so excellent price! Would recommend you concrete the spike into the ground!
I bought this for £70 from Amazon at the weekend. How are they about refunding the difference if I were to ask? Good find OP

They won't. You will have to purchase this one and send it back as the old one.
Now 2.5 years old and still fantastic. Agree with @jona77 on the concrete bit as this makes the whole thing more than stable.

Cheers, robb. Can't be bothered with all that!
Got one and it is quality. Very well made and looks like it will last. Don't buy cheap ones as they end up looking like a brolly in the wind with poor soil spikes. This is a good price.
I agree with others. A quality lightweight rotary dryer. I have had mine a couple of years and have had no problems with it. The original cover did not last long but then it did get a lot of wear and tear as I leave it out in all weathers and garden birds love to perch on top of it. I purchased one made of thicker material. I also bought another peg basket as I liked the design and needed more space to store all the pegs. I did not concrete my spike in and have not had any problems. The spike has a number of fins which kept mine sturdy in the ground.
Agree with comments on here, buy cheap buy twice ! These are well made and are easy to put up and down. The cover on mine was attacked by magpies so has little holes in it !

Speak to customer services via chat. Tell them to refund the difference or you'll return and order at the lower price. If you start the chat with the words 'show me the money' you'll more likely be successful

Thirded! A bag of postcrete makes this a doddle to secure. Mine ended up a little wonky despite my best efforts, but suspect that says as much about our sloping garden and my DIY skills as anything else

Got this for £45 on Prime Day last year........The wife is still getting on at me about I have still not 'installed' it.
She only mentioned it last week also.

In my defence I went to do it once and the holder was bigger than the one we have now so it required a bit of work so I said I would have to look at it when I had more time....
Got the 40m stainless steel version. Absolutely excellent apart from the overly loose plastic spike which I set in concrete. Used a level and packed it in to get a true upright. Still a bit wobbly.

The soil spikeis wose according to reviews being about 54-55mm wide. So if you can cope with an off centre airer this is truely excellent otherwise.

Personally I had no real issues with installing the metal spike in the soil. It's long, which means plenty of hammering and trying to keep it straight as it goes in, but with a bit of care it's pretty much perfectly straight and certainly very secure in the ground.
