Description

Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder and Anthony Hopkins star in director Francis Ford Coppola's visually stunning, passionately seductive version of the Dracula legend.

In Bram Stoker's Dracula, Coppola returns to the original source of the Dracula myth, and from that gothic romance, he creates a modern masterpiece. Ryder brings equal intensity to the role of a young beauty who becomes the object of Dracula's devastating desire. Anthony Hopkins co-stars as the famed doctor who dares to believe in Dracula, and then dares to confront him.

Opulent, dazzling and utterly irresistible, this is Dracula as you've never seen him. And once you've seen Bram Stoker's Dracula, you'll never forget it. Winner of 3 Academy Awards (1992): Best Costume Design, Best Make-Up and Best Sound Effects Editing.

LOL!!

Save your pennies.

I love this film.

Don't bother with this as Sony will be issuing a better HD transfer in the future.

see the following review

dvdtalk.com/rev…d=1

The sound quality is good enough but wait for a DTS HD or DolbyTrueHD mix

Also Blu ray disc prices will drop in this 1st quarter.

Try and get hold of the Spider-Man Trilogy BD at Tescos for £15:thumbsup:

is the quality of this going to be drastically different from the dvd I already own? - I've got a couple of new films on blue-ray, but this is years old.

As the film is meant to be taken from the original print I would say yes.

I read a review of this in the new "HD Review" magazine, and they gave the picture quality 2 stars out of 5 and said it isn't noticeably different from DVD, and questioned whether they'd actually done anything other than stuff the DVD onto Blu-Ray.

I have just bought this, for 9 quid delivered. its a bargain. + you really get to see the fild how coppola wanted it to be seen. This a a cracking film if you exclude K Reeves english accent Lol.

My adivce for 9 quid but it n if you don't like it then put it on ebay and get your money back and maybe a bit more.

This is my favourite film of all time, I have watched it on BD at a friend's place and it's pretty much the same as my Superbit DVD edition so I will probably just wait for that new remastered edition they will be releasing later on.
