Isn't Arnold Clark a bit of a dodgy dealer?

Good price, but a bit underpowered IMHO.
agree - can't believe they don't have an 1800cc min for these

Yes, he has been done numerous times for clocking cars. This is a great price, wonder if there is a catch? Hot from me.
Are delevery and plates, road tax included in this deal ? Not bad price although it needs 6 gears and diesel engine to get me to buy one...
MPG 49.8..... lol

More like 4.98!
I've got a 1600cc Zafira and love it. Mpg are excellent too. It's a good deal for a family car that does it's job without being the size of a bus.
we had a 1.8 petrol and it very little power and a very poor MPG, hence we no longer have it.
GOTA B A DODGY DEAL CAN,T C THE CAR
Good quality car for the money.

Makes me laugh when I read all these comments about it being unpowered and rubbish on fuel economy etc. I would put money Down that only about 1/10 of these people commenting have actually owned/drove one.
Surely a 'deal' as the OP puts it is the quality of the car for the price. Seems alright though
If you use this for round town, school runs, shopping etc then the MPG won't be much different to a twice the price diesel. If you're doing long distances then this probably isn't the best buy.
Used to have a 1.6 zafira got to say it did what it says on the tin. Had it from new for 3 years did 60k miles in it and it never missed a beat.

As for 49.6mpg, i struggled to get that if Im honest but mid 40s on a run is realistic. If you need a 7 seater on a budget you cant go far wrong TBH.

What??? I know i'm a bit out of what's "cool" nowadays, but what the @&%# does that translate to?

After much staring, do you actually mean "It's got to be a dodgy deal as you cannot see the actual car you are getting on the website" ?

Wow, this country's gone to the dogs. I blame the parents, bad role models............and sheer laziness

I take it this is not the new model Zafira. Good deal though for £10k. We have a 57 plate Zafira and it's been good. We get 40mpg on a run.
Had one of these for the last 3 years (2006 Model).

Great car & really versatile.

The only thing is I struggle to get near 40 Mpg & thats with driving sensibly on a 25 mile commute (17 miles of which is 50mph with minimal hold ups).
everything else aside - does it sound like a Golf?
It's not a Skoda - heat added.
Had these at work - not great quality, mid-30s to the gallon when in town, useless rear seats (knees under chin when tried my 11 year old) and no boot left when rear seats up. The Fiat Multipla carries six adults in comfort with their luggage BUT all that said - under 10K for this, that is a hot deal!

Absolutely not!
Three months ago I bought a new car from the Arnold Clark dealership in Stoke on Trent, 120 miles from where I live. After years of years of indifferent service from local dealerships it was a pleasurable experience to deal with an organisation offering such a high standard of service, they were absolutely brilliant.
I will definitely return next year.

Can't believe some people are knocking this deal.
If you vote cold, show me where you can buy a new 7 seater car for £10k
Alright, wouldn't be my first choice as I don't need a 7 seater, but this is Fiesta money.

My only complaint would be that they don't have anywhere south of the midlands.

Hi and welcome to the Internet, where characters aren't limited!
Arnold Clark are a massive dealer group and possibly have the most Vauxhall dealerships in the country. Personally I've never had a problem with them.

This is the older Zafira not the new 'Tourer' but don't forget all New Vauxhalls come with a lifetime warranty. I doubt you'll find a 12 months old Zafira with the same spec for this price which makes it a great deal.

BTW should be no apostrophe in "it's"!

Although Arnold Clark is a well established dealer, you very often see bad press about their dealers - more than what you see for other dealers. Just google arnold clark trading standards....
I was on the verge of getting a car from Arnold Clark, until I read the customer reviews.
Don't touch them with a barge pole.

I did own a 1.6 Zafira, and it was underpowered for anything more that being a general run-around. On one long hill stretch that you can get a reasonable run at, it needed 2nd gear to get to the top. Great car from the versatility point of view though, but definitely needs a bigger engine to cover all bases.
It doesn't state "Pre-Registered" anywhere but a lot of these types of deals are when the dealer buys a large batch of vehicles from the manufacturer at a huge discount and then registers them. The advantage in this is a big chunk of the discount is passed onto the buyer plus delivery will be nearly instant as opposed to waiting for the manufacturer to supply the vehicle. The downside is you will only be able to choose from the colours the dealer has in stock and your vehicle can be up to 6 months old depending how long they've had it in stock. They still refer to it as brand new as it will generally only have delivery mileage on the clock but when you buy it from the dealer you are effectively the 2nd registered owner. From a legal point of view this can be considered a used vehicle and you also may have trouble in getting Vauxhall to honour the lifteime 100,000 mile warranty as this only applies to the first registered owner, in this case the dealer.
Like I said earlier, it doesn't state Pre-Registered but it is specific with the 12 plate which finishes at the end of August so may well already be regisitered.

You're spot on, most just comment on something they no nothing about. Bought one new few years bag (59 plate). No probs with it, easy to park (only takes up 1 space!), cheap insurance, NOT underpowered and good fuel economy. Just don't get it in black - it looks crap! We got silver and it always looks good. Great car and it's the second we've had, plus there is enough room for luggage and back seats are not practical for some, but I dont have a problem, like others obviously do!
The mpg is terrible, do not buy unless you don't mind spending a fortune on fuel.
just wait until september, vauxhall are dropping this model and bringing out a replacement this deal will be at every vauxhall dealership soon and might get better, also Citroen will be doing the same with their C4 Picassos soon too, and when they dropped the xsara picasso they were hitting 7895!
Love it or hate it. Underpowered or overpowered you can't deny it's a lot of car for £10k.

rubbish
From all accounts, the 1.6 is feeble. I am guessing that these are all 'pre-registered' so you will be the second owner. If they are not, I wonder how much the 1.8 engine adds to the price.
