Battery life can only be described as pathetic on the SE. Be prepared to have to carry around a charger and powerbank if you get one of these. Cold from me.

For me, it's a fundamental design flaw by Apple. I'm just warning potential buyers about this issue. Having to charge a phone twice a day might be acceptable to some.

    Awful battery life, I'd avoid

depends on what you use it for

This is the SE 2020 not the 2022 model - I was getting excited there !

As a very light user mine lasts 2 days, however I wouldn't buy another - not for any fault of the phone - but because as I get older I'm finding the small screen more of a challenge. I will say however that resale/trade-in value for these is surprisingly poor. Also that battery life ain't going to improve with age so if it'd be marginal for you when new, you'll probably be replacing it after a year or two which negates the other iPhone trump card of long term support.

It's a good price alright, but go in with your eyes open people.

You're right, it's more like 3 days (39% remaining, charged Thurs 14:49) but only 2mins screen on time in that period. (edited)

Mine’s still ok after two years of use.
Lasts me the day, sometimes even with up to 50% left by nighttime - if I’ve used it lightly, to be fair.
Battery health is starting to decrease now though.

It’s been absolutely fine for me too. A fantastic phone

Agree with the comments on battery life. 18 months on and without major use I'm running low by mid afternoon. I'd also say that I find the camera very disappointing (having switched from a Pixel 3).

I also swapped from a Pixel 3. Echo the camera quality but not sure how much of that was the sensor and how much was the clever trickery the Pixel did.

Either way my Pixel had to be replaced twice so that was my cue to move back to iOS.

Think I’ll be changing up to iPhone 14
Mini when it’s announced, assuming it doesn’t need a second mortgage

I bought an SE2022 for £369 last week on eBay. Opened box. Doesn’t seem worth getting the SE2020 at that difference.

£70 is a lot to some

It’s not a bad deal for normal or light use. Maybe no good if you can’t put your phone down. I’m typing this comment on the phone now and I’m not in any hurry to upgrade. At least these will work and upgrade when androids are obsolete.

I use this model for work purposes taking photos and videos of cars. I get to 2pm and I’m plugging it in.

If you can find a way to manage the battery with a mid day charge then it’s a great phone.

I’ve had mine for 2 years and don’t think I’ll upgrade until it’s dead.

I have a very similar experience. Recharging it with heavy use isn’t a problem for me. A fantastic phone with great capabilities. I’ll probably hold onto mine until it goes Ka’put or support for it ceases

I agree with comments on poor battery life. A friend went to the Apple store as he thought his SE2020battery was faulty as the battery life was so poor. Tests revealed nope all fine even though 12 months in was at 50% battery half way through the day. Advised by the genius person to buy a anothermodel of iPhone. (edited)

Too small for me but a good deal.

How long before apple issue this with the slowdown patch?...

Rumors...they admitted it happened. The issue is whether it was intentional. I'd suggest it probably was.

These are not new as stated

"Brand New" is an option you have to select on the product page, there doesn't seem to be any of the SEs in stock right now at the 64GB price range though (edited)
