brand new c4 1.6 diesel for almost half price!!! £9995 @ Perrys

I have just bought myself a new c4, I am happy with the offer, I wanted to share. instead of leasing a new car, just buy this one. same engine £16.600 something...
a/c and cruise control included in mine. just small detail, you will be the second owner as the perry's galary will be buying just 1 day before transfering the v5 over to your name, just to boost their gallery selling rates. so you wait about 1 month as i did not ask for any additional, then as soon as the car is ready, gallery buys it and same day they sell it to you. (that's what they told me as the reason of the low price), I checked my v5, yes it is only 1 day difference and "0" miles on clock.

now i have done about 1000miles in 4 weeks, i am happy with the performance and diesel consumption but not so much with quality. i wish i paid extra for more.
i bought exactly same michellin spare tyre with steel rim, for bargain! from mytyres.

sorry for some of you guys, I wanted to upload photos of my car, but somehow I could not find upload picture option, so instead i upload online here is the links:

Looks like such an American car..

Which C4 diesel is around £33,200?

Ah I see it's not £16,600 you paid it's £9995
Looks a decent saving and nothing wrong with pre-registered vehicles...surprised it's only 1 day difference they're usually 3 months

Not a fan of the car but good deal for a new car.

ugly car but decent saving and cheap. cost almost as much as the options on my audi.

I like french cars but they lost their way years ago. I had a 307xsi and still have it. Great car and still drives great and like new despite 107k. I like the 308 though, best moved Peugeot made as their previous 308 looked ugly

It's French lol

It's combined MPG is 70 though (so they claim)

But will it last 70 miles before breaking down?

Like this deal very much. I just can't stop buying Honda. None of them have ever let me down. My daughter still has my 1986 one. She can't wait till it lets her down so she can buy a newer one. Hey-ho doubt it ever will!!!!

Nice deal.

Not the car for me but that does seem very cheap - what's the catch? (and I don't mean inane reasons from 10 year old Top Gear viewers)

£10,000. What a rip. I'd get a Beamer or Merc at that price even if they do guzzle petrol and have around 30k miles on the clock.

if that car is brand new... what would you call a car that your the first owner.

Just diesel? Wanted a petrol, don't do long journeys often.

wow..a brand new Bmw and Mercedes for under £10k....please show me where.

I would serious consider this if I need to buy a new car... Road tax is only £20 per year!

... here comes the lease deals. Tbh the lexus and golf r deal wasn't bad. A used Mercedes/BMW would be 5 years old at that price with probably 40k on the clock if you're lucky.

30k miles on the clock they said.

Naaaahh....think I will stick with my 21 year old Astra which I bought for £450 seven years ago and hasn't cost me a penny in repairs and has never let me down and I travel all over the UK to follow my footy team.

I'm going to be paying £10,670 for the leased ds3 dstyle plus, 1.6 e-hdi I've had the past 2 year, cost me £4500 over that period mind.. Saved around 1000 via leasing, as citroen had it for around £17000 at the time.

Advertised of 78mpg combined, does around 62mpg tops overall. So expect this to do around 55 maybe.

I do get around 250miles from £30-33 though.

Not bad cars.. nothing has went wrong with it in these 2 years, otherwise I wouldn't be buying it.

Just checked autotrader, 12 month old used ones with 40k miles are asking £8.5K for the same car.

This is a proper good deal.

all though not brand new there are other nicer nearly new cars < 6 months for the same price in my opinion.

Complete nonsense, the PSA engines in these cars are some of the most efficient and refined you can get in a diesel. You've been watching too many 1990's Top Gears on Dave again.

Hmmm this or stretch for another £25k and have a practical four seater "ferrari" " X)

Edit: And if your wondering if that's my postcode, well I typed in wrong...Where is BN21 lol?

Hm, not half price but mum has had a C4 coupe for 10 years and been an amazing car. Small niggles but great value for money!

Yes, it's HUKD and car deals are often posted. In fact I'm pleased that the OP took the time to post this deal. I'm sorry that HUKD is letting you down on the type of products we are posting...I'm sure that you've been too busy to post one of your own deals in the past 15 months that you've been a member.

Frankly, this is a ridiculous comparison as this car comes with 3 year warranty and has no miles on clock... Your suggestion is not the same (and I'm the owner of a 'Beamer' with 50k on clock.) Out of interest, following your second hand logic to life, why did you not post a deal to a second hand superior food processor instead of posting your Kenwood mini chopper deal?

Thanks, I think you've taught all of HUKD an important lesson.

Not a fan of the car but good deal for a new car.

THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY TO RESPOND...YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE THE CAR, YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE BUYING SECOND HAND, YOU MIGHT NOT LIFE FRENCH CARS BUT OTHERS DONT REALLY WANT TO HEAR YOUR NEGATIVE, UNHELPFUL AND POOR ATTEMPTS AT HUMOUR...JUST VOTE ON THE DEAL OR POST YOUR OWN BETTER ONE.

thanks OP - good deal

Definitely an ugly car though I like French cars too

More than happy with my Megane coupe as I was with the one before that.

Had a 106,309 and 405 many moons ago

C4 not for me but good price for a new car

I like the look of the ds3 may consider one in future once I don't need to ferry kids around!

mines a 54 plate and i cant believe how quiet it is. the newer engines are slightly different and 8v thats why lower tax etc

he's probably thinking of the american citroen c4...

'Snort' hilarious!!

a C4 you couldnt pay me to have one ugly looking car get a decent car...

It's lower in price due to the new design c4 has unveiled and is selling, this is old stock and design, hence the lower price. Not a deal as the new c4s are 10k too with the same features.

PSA have always made decent diesels and chassis, however the rest of their engineering is crap including electronics/electrics and the depreciation is horrible to say the least. If you pay £10K for this it'll be worth a third in a few years unlike a German brand. Plenty of Golfs for around £10K that will smash the crap out of this car and they're less than 2 years old.

I used to buy Citroens I had a BX and a Xantia both diesels both great engines, didn't give me too much trouble but almost worthless when I came to sell them on.

Personally I think the worst aspect of french cars is the depreciation.
Edited by: "fishmaster" 18th Nov 2014

Lol I could get a Dacia for that money.

I've read lots of horror stories about this engine in particular... DPF replacements, oil in to turbo etc. Great price though, worthwhile for motorway slogs.

Nothing wrong with French cars. My little 106 diesel returned at least 70mpg. Would still be driving it now given the choice, very few faults & no breakdowns but rear axle went at 165,000 miles (common on Peugeot). Not wanting to start a debate on good cars and detract from this great deal, so to all those who think they know better, make a note of which cars you see broken down for 1 month. Keep saying they're "quality" & people will believe it, but facts speak for themselves.

Cheap deal. Ignore the naysayers OP. Good find.
