Marketed at commuters but anyone can book. An excellent deal for any hotel in Central London (its Clerkenwell which is near King's Cross, Islington, Covent Garden, Holborn, the city)) but especially for a brand new hotel.

"the YOTEL London Commuter Rate will enable workers to relax within one of the hotels 212 modern cabins, fully equipped with an adjustable SmartBed™ with a super comfortable gel cooled mattress, rain shower, Smart TV, multiple power and USB charging ports and free super-fast Wi-Fi.

Use code COMMUTER. The hotel has implemented #SmartStay, a package of safety measures and resources including increased frequency of cleaning of communal touchpoints, enhanced food safety protocols, increased hand sanitiser stations and social distancing reminders throughout the hotel.

YOTEL London first opened its doors in Clerkenwell on 1 August and offers an experience driven by minimalistic design and clever use of technology; ideal for those who appreciate the quality of a boutique hotel but without the hefty price tag.

The YOTEL London commuter rate is available until Friday 9 October 2020, subject to availability and can be booked here: yotel.com/commuter

ENDS

1 Research conducted by Breathe, Posture People and HR Central, July 2020

I've never cancelled a hotel booking before. Should it happen, is it fairly straightforward to get your money refunded?

The one in the basement pub in the market isn't the cheapest but is superb quality. The place itself is a bit scruffy though.

On the funny side Pentonville Prison, The Central Criminal Court & The Royal Courts of Justice are nearer.

Only playing. Thinking of booking a Saturday night soon because it is near the Barbican tube station.

Might all be shut these days, mind, there were a few decent restaurants and pubs around Charterhouse Street?

Ah apologies, missed that. Even at the weekend it's only like £70 so still not bad for central London.

Yup. Market license to cater for porters etc. Believe at least one pub around Borough Market has a similar license.

If you want to book on a Sat you might look at this place which is in Bethnal Green.
I stayed at the hotel in New York,it was really good..the toilet\shower were within the room but glazed off which is similar to what we had in Berlin..I have definitely stayed in worse rooms having paid more for being highly rated
Never had a bad experience with Yotel, one of my fave hotel chains
Wow! Amazing price for this location! Thanks for posting
@OwlEye
Do they not offer twin beds? I can only see queen beds.

If you can get a Friday or Saturday then yes, shoreditch is still very busy, weeknights not so much with many people out of the office at the moment.
£30 to stay a night in London?I'm afraid you couldn't pay me to stay there
The fella in the advert seems happy
Did the marketeers forget the phrase shoe box?
Great price for a new private room in the area. Considering pre covid it used to be £20/30 for a bed in a shared hostel that looked like a crack den.

I didn’t mention “the City of London”.

Islington is the most densely populated part of the U.K.:

theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2018/sep/15/where-to-move-for-high-population-density

“Based on the last census, in 2011, London’s inner boroughs are by far the most densely populated in the country, with Islington top at 138.7 people per hectare (13,870 per square kilometre).”
Edited by: "HorseBoxGuy" 16th Sep
As I work (or used to work now covid is here) round there. I can confirm this is a relatively quiet part of London. You are five minutes from the square mile which is busy. maybe ten to Islington which is also busy. Farringdon Station is very busy but crowds disperse into the office blocks. So you are surrounded by busy bits. The clerkenwell area is quiet. On a weekend I would say its dead.

Some great spots to take in history, eat and drink, and only a hop and a skip to other areas. Makes it a winner for me.
