Amazing price for one of the best camera phones with pure Google software.
Some people have reservations about buying from wowcamera. I have posted several times from then & received very positive feedback.
UK warranty has been confirmed, phone is shipped from Luxembourg. The plug is EU type but comes with an adaptor.
This comment was left after a p20 pro was used from my other post from wowcamera.

Feel genuinely sorry for anyone that buys this over the superior Note 9.

Feel sorry for anyone that is used to the nightmare that is Touchwiz rebranded as 'One UI'. Stock Android is the only form of android that beats IOS. Yes Note 9 hardware wise is superior, but it got the Android Pie update a week ago, the Pixel already has Betas for Android Q. Also Pixel camera is second to none.

I've seen plenty of friends happy with their S8s and S9s so I'm confident with my Note 9 going forwards. If you use these phones regularly then it's even more amazing to me that you can think One UI is anything like Touchwiz. Also why would you be interested in OS beta updates? I use this phone for important stuff every day, I need it to actually work, I don't care about Q right now, I'll care about it in a few months.

Disagree. I've had the Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S8 and Note 8. All of them become more frustrating and slower to use over time. They're great at first, and the bells and whistles that Samsung tack onto Android seem beneficial at first, but then they slowly become annoying and just overcomplicate the settings.

I've now been using a Pixel 2 XL for over a year and, whilst it doesn't have the initial wow factor of the Samsung software, it's much more satisfying to use over a period of time. It's more intuitive and more integrated. And it still runs exactly like new (unlike the 3 Samsungs I mentioned).

I disagree. I'm rocking a pixel 3 XL. Actually works really well. Camera is amazing. My only gripe is that the battery life could be better
I have this phone.. This is an absolutely stinking deal for a phone as good as this.. Don't miss out, seriously. Camera is still top performer...
i am ok with my xiaomi mi max and a6000 camera....same price better performance

+1 Right there with you. For the price they were asking they tried cheaping out on hardware on design and specifications front with no headphone jack, smallish to average at best battery capacity and life, comparatively slow charging times... The list goes on.

Quite frankly the software was an absolute shambles with bugs and glitches abound. The wait for months before they got fixed and some people still have problems means Google itself can't be relied upon to make something that just blooming works! Almost as bad as Apple with their track record in recent years. Why bother making new operating systems if they're going to be worse and bug ridden to what came before it. I can think of no serious meaningful reason to go from Oreo to Pie.
Not enough of an improvement over the pixel 2 and the notch is fugly. Gonna wait for the pixel 4

One UI is so far removed from Touchwiz, only someone that hasn't used it would think otherwise. Stock Android is nowhere near the appeal it once was, and Google's insane prices for inferior hardware and software really show the whole thing up. Being on Pie isn't that important when SE on 8.1 was superior to Stock on 9.0.

I have used it. I work at carphone warehouse believe me when I say I've used pretty much every phone out there. And guess what, in our stores it's always the Samsung demo units that start slowing down first. The point on Googles prices I agree with, it wasn't worth the £869 SIM free cost, but at this price it's more than worth it, especially considering you will get the latest software updates for at least 3 years. The first generation Pixel also got the Android Q beta update.
I've got the one plus 5 would this be a better upgrade?
Which camera is the better choice? Mi9 or this?

I totally agree with you mate. I'm using Pixel 1st gen over 2 years & 4 months, and it's still rocking with smooth performance. I really like the S10, but I'm worried that it may start lagging after a while just like your old Samsung's.

Close but I'd go for this in day to day situations

If you are happy with the camera , than stick with it. Or of you really like the OnePlus, hold on as the OnePlus 7 is out soon. 6t prices will come down.

Trying not to laugh out loud
Picked up the Pixel 3 (non XL version) as a replacement for my 6s earlier this week, after 9 years of iOS.

Anyone got a beginner's guide to picking sides in the Android fan wars? Reading this thread my head hurts.

It's not about sides it's often eco system. For me I am Google all the way. Home mini, home standard, home max, pixel and heavy chrome user.

Then work side I have Mac , iPad and iPhone.

They don't play well together.

I appreciate both but prefer android. The trouble is a lot of mid range to budget phones give android a bad name. Running like a dog on poor hardware.

If you take a flagship phone like a pixel or galaxy S10 for example it's hard to fault them.

Both have their place and people should respect the pro and cons of each. It's stupid to say apple or Android are crap or the best.

In this day and age you wanna be tech savvy use and appreciate them both. As they both have great features and flaws.

When it comes to tablets iPads in my view are the only choice.

When it comes to phones for personal use I would always choose a flagship high end android.

Personal preference and eco systems makes my choices.

I've been a Samsung user since the Note 2 and last one was the S8+ which I loved. I still prefer the Note for Sammies but after a year....every single Samsung has slowed down and battery starts deteriorating. I accept that I do use my phone alot but my wife's iPhone always outlast mine even though I don't like iPhones. Had my S8+ for a year n a half and it started lagging big time probably about 4 months ago.

I've finally decided to try the Pixel to see if it's really better. I've had it a month and I must say that I actually love it and while my Samsung always had better photos than the iPhone... this Pixel 3XL absolutely rocks the photos. Quality is amazing and the battery life without the bloatware (even though I don't actually mind touchwiz) is very impressive. I normally tend to keep my phone charged at work due to fear of battery 'dying' on way home but so far the Pixel lasts all the way home with 40% still to spare! Big thumbs up!

Time will tell but so far from being an absolute Samsung fanboy.... I'm really impressed with my 3XL. While the notch is not ideal (download Nacho Notch) and the Samsung screens are nicer the 3XL looks a lot better than its predecessors and works well as my first pure Google phone. Let's see if there are any slow downs or dying batteries in the near future!
