I found this deal after checking the Hyundai site after looking at the Peugeot and Citroen deals. We have an i10 and for the money it is a great little car. The normal OTR price of £8k is a bit steep, but £7k is good value. Remember this is a 5 door, 5 seater car with air con and 5 year warranty. If you are looking for a small car it is definitely worth a test drive.

If finance available with 0% APR will be great

bought one of these (trim level up) for 5.5k in the scrappage scheme, had one slight issue with the horn, which was fixed immediately under warranty with no hassle, but other than that it's been flawless

Thanks WTP, those are even better. £6.5k is around what we paid 2 years ago - and that was for the 1.0 model. OH had a Saab 9-5 estate previously, but a job change meant he didn't need a big car anymore. He is really happy with the i10 as a daily driver in the city. He is even more chuffed with the 50mpg and low tax band - the Saab was going up to £400. The ride is quite harsh and the interior is plasticky as you would expect, but they are really good little cars.

All I10 s are 1.2ltr engines the same engine they use in the I20, My missis has had an I10 for just over a year now and is very happy with it after 7500 miles just a few small things to watch out for which I am informed are across the range. Headlight adjuster switch will turn itself on regular and you will hear a slight humming noise (Took ages to figure out where it was coming from) Can be changed under warranty but they haven't found a switch yet that doesn't fail. After a couple of thousand miles you will hear that something sounds loose behind the dashboard, It is not actualy the dashboard it is the rear view mirror, if you hold it while driving over rough tarmac the noise will stop, again they will change it under warranty. One last point is the nearside rear brake will start to squeak and they will oil it (?) I hope not the pads or disks, but the noise will come back after a while. Oh and one more thing but hasn't affected us yet is the immoboliser will kick in and you can't start the car ( we know a couple who have had this happen) So hope I haven't put you off because all round it is a good little car and £30 a year road tax is nice, so good luck.

Yep all the new i10's are 1.2. We bought ours just before the 1.2 was introduced. I did suggest to OH that he wait a few months as the 1.2 is supposed to be a much better engine, but he didn't want to re-tax the Saab and wanted take advantage of a 3 year cut price servicing deal that was on offer. We haven't had any issues with it so far, fortunately but thanks for the heads up.

Remember, it's the other idiots on the road to worry about, this car gets 4 NCAP stars. May be worth paying extra for a 5 star rated car

They're £6,995 wherever you turn. Why did you think this was hot?

Girlfriend just bought a 1.2 active and is very happy.

Not all are 1.2's, you can get a 1.0 'Blue'

Personally I..

a) Wouldn't buy a new car
b) Wouldn't look on HUKD for a deal on a car

Won't vote either way as this could be a good heads up for somebody

This is just a kia picanto with a hyundai badge. Better deals around for small cars.

I've had my 1.2 since January and I'm delighted with it, would recommend to anyone.

Not quite. This is the newer model with the revised KAPA2 engine, which will make it £20 road tax and better MPG than the "old" i10/Picanto.

The NEW Picanto (due out next month) will be based on this newer i10.

Last time I drove a car that size it had a pole out of the top and people kept bumping into it.

Are Kia and Hyundai the same manufacturer then ?

Hyundai Kia Automotive Group

Not bad price if you don't mind paying 7k for what is essentially a metal box on wheels with the build quality of a South Africa slumhouse

Doesn't justify the price difference as you would need to go to the moon & back to be in a positive position. You also have to take into account what this car will be worth in a year & it WILL suffer from depreciation. For most cars list prices are irrelevant. They are now used as a way for manufacturers to offer massive 'discounts'. You will be hard pushed to find any car selling at list price.

The most stupid comment on hotukdeals ever!

I wonder if you have been in one or any new Hyundai Cars?

I have been in one of these cars and I was impressed! Voted HOT!

The current Picanto is currently the same price as this and it is effectively getting replaced with an new car which will be based on the updated i10 on offer. Both franchises offer £1500 part ex as well so take your pick.

If you do have any problems with the immobiliser ive found the problem to be with the coil antenna pins rather then the smartra immobiliser unit. A slight adjustment to the pins will cure this fault, it is quite a minor repair.

For those that do not know Hyundai are the second largest car manufacturer in THE WORLD so if the quality was just of a metal box on wheels they would not hold that title!

Im guessing their trade & upgrade offer isnt included on these little beauties?

Nice. Bought 4.

Would any of the dealer take my old 2001 car as px and charge me the difference

Had two i10's - awesome little cars.

Got first under scrappage, second after one year, they let me trade in for a brand new one for £500!

Very happy with performance. Fantastic around city, and I do regular 200 mile round trips in it. Takes family of 5 in comfort.

I know 2 people with these and have nothing but trouble with them. These were made for third world countries.

5th biggest is still pretty impressive !

only 2 people with problems.....how many do you know who have had trouble with fords / vauxhalls then?

For 3rd world counties! lol - yeah you see everyone driving around in them in comic relief!

Got get some real facts - find me a better car for same price - offering same extras, 5 year warranty, and better scores.

Even top gear rate the i10!

They are having trouble slatting the Ceed too...

Yea, that is why VW, Vauxhall, Ford etc. give 3 year warranties, and Hyundai give a 5 year warranty.

Great little car.

4th for cars in 2009 and I believe 3rd for 2010.

Bought just before the scrappage finished. Had problem with above mentioned light switch. Done 14000 miles and very, very happy with it. Very good value.

We have Hyundai i20 and I would recommend Hyundai. The biggest factor for us was the 5 year warranty as we had loads of problems with our previous Vauxhall despite it being relatively new. If they were rubbish cars as a few have suggested they wouldn't do the 5 year warranty.

In fact we have now bought a Kia Cee'd Estate as well. Kia give 7 year warranty for new cars. Ours was 12 months old when we bought it so they gave us the remaining 6 years of the warranty.

All I want is a reliable car, as long as it gets me from A to B not bothered. Bonus of all mod cons as standard - Air conditioning, electric windows etc.

This deal surprises me since the guy who lives over the road from me insists that he had to be put on a waiting list for one of these (had it when it came out).

This is true as my missis had to wait 4 months before she got hers
