I ordered the LG 49SJ810V from the Currys ebay outlet. It says on the listing it has the 5 year guarantee. They have it for £579 so that takes it to £504.

From what I understand, which is little, it has been confirmed it has the same panel as the 800V - the only difference being the stand.

Does this come with the 5 year warranty?
This or the Samsung UE55MU6400 for £484? This is smaller but it does "propper HDR"

They just changed the price on Ebay by £20. Still cheaper than anywhere in the UK or the whole world
Dont know what to do, the Samsung is 5" bigger but doesn't have all the fancy nano technology and 120Hz display.

If you have space for a 55 then get the LG 55SJ850. It's a lot more but apparently you get a lot more. The Sony XE90 is supposed to be good too.

Don't shoot me, I'm no expert, just passing on what I found out when looking for our new TV.

They're the same. The 810V is better in the sense that the stand is better and can make tv swivel

No it doesn't, the local dimming system on this is a joke and the brightness range is pretty restricted to begin with as it's an IPS panel. In many scenes the MU6400 will have a larger dynamic range. (assuming the 55" is VA, I'm not sure).

This may or may not have a wider colour gamut, I haven't seen it tested.

Basically if you want 'proper HDR' you're looking at £1000+, and possibly £1500+ depending on how lax you want to be in the definition. It's still an expensive tech to do well.

Those are ways of recording HDR data and not display technologies. Supporting them means the TV can read data in those formats, it says nothing about how much of that data it can actually display.

Seriously, thank you very much. I had been on ebay for an hour looking for a decent 4k TV. Co-op don't deliver to N.Ireland and other companies charge £80+ but Currys delivery is free
The currys one is the better deal than this one. TVs are both the same but the 810V has a better stand which is more stable and can swivel and also the TV is £20 cheaper. Both deals have 5 year warranty but Currys advertise their's on ebay, while Crampton & Moore confirmed over phone.

Not a bad TV but RGBW and IPS. Two big no points for me.

That was the issue I had. Co-op, C&M, AO, Panasonic. None would deliver to NI. Currys thankfully did no issues.
I wouldn't buy from this mob on the bases they've bumped their prices up across the board by £20 so they can get a slice of that 20% depsite said 20% increasing their sales.

Is it worth cancelling this so it's not proper hdr? Or dolby vision ? Confused is it a good price for what is 504

This is proper HDR and supports two main standards of HDR/4K - Only not a 10 bit panel, but won't make much of a difference. True 10 bit panels are at least £800-£900 or the OLED range = £1200 starting price

So it's a good buy for around 500 kwid

Shame I would have opted for 10 bit panel if I knew earlier and tried for 20 percent if available on ebay that is
