I can confirm everything you suspect is going to be there is there plus extras, as it is badly descried on Choices website, cheap as a used 7.0" is selling for £25 on Cex, with no extrass like case and remote...

I brought it a while back for my slimline PS2, came 2 days later packaged brand new, and got it going in a matter of minutes, it is great for car journeys, get that Cricket 2007 hooked up and whoolah, or great for watching movies, as a portable 8.0" portable DVD player is going to at least set you back £50, but for £20 you can have a 8.0" portable DVD player, and the optional extra of being able to play PS" games in the car...

Hot! Delivery is free, not £1.99.

Portable DVD would have a battery tho... this isnt that portable... but more portable than carrying a tv around with it!

It also states 'free delivery on UK orders over £9.99'.

EDIT: sorry, just seen post from a few minutes ago ...

Not got the risk of this running out of battery then, and yeah it is much nicer to have the function to play games on a decent sized screen, beats a PSP for car journeys for me 110%...

But its still not a portable DVD player - so shouldnt mislead people in comparing it to one.

"But its still not a portable DVD player" Really. ?

I didn't say it was, I was mearly comparing it to it as it has similar functions... As it is all you would need for a car journey.

Erm, you cant use it on the train, in the park etc... Its a car DVD player then. As a true portable DVD player has a battery to make it portable.

No.... 90000 Model is the latest LAST Playstation 2 ever produced that was only released in PAL Territories such as Australia, NSTC J (Japan Of course) The larger playstation 2 models are 50000 and below.....

EDIT - Heres information directly from Wikipedia if you dont know what I'm talking about...

"Another refinement of the slimline PlayStation 2 (SCPH-90000) was released in Japan on November 22, 2007[23], and in the US and EU in late 2008[citation needed], with an overhauled internal design that incorporates the power supply into the console itself, with a further reduced total weight of 720 grams. SCPH-90000 series consoles manufactured after March 2008 incorporate a revised BIOS, which disables an exploit present in all older models that allowed homebrew applications to be launched from a memory card."

HA-HA! For £20 in converts your PS2 into a portable DVD Player for the car is what I meant muggings god always quick to pass judgement, no need to be so brass, for on a PS2 you can play DVD's you did realise man... :whistling: I will explain it to you nice and simple... £20 for the screen = DVD Function on a PS2 on 8.0" Screen = £20, make sense. ? Great deal if you already own a slim PS2. ! Which I sure a fair few people do...

nice find

cheers for that , just ordered

nice find.....

They are excellent bits of kit and well worth £20 each :thumbsup:Edit - the case that comes with them is excellent too.

And a remote, in in-car charger is very handy as from Cex you don't get it and there screens come quite badly scratched in my case and it costs more @ Cex for a smaller screen version...

can i adapt this to use with something else like the ps1 screens (composite in or adaptable)?

Anyone know the actual resolution?

Thanks

Matt

It attaches to the back of a PS2, no leads are used, you may be able to mod it to work if PS1 has same AV Multi out, I can't remember, TBH, but don't quote me on it as it may now work...

cheers... not looking @ps1 use just totally seperate pc thing but thanks :-)

got mine today, great bit of kit, works a treat well worth the money

man.. didn't read the full text, i thought the monitor along would be able to play dvd, the monitor is arrived, gotta look for a cheap ps2 now. otherwise i'll have to throw this away.. damn it.
