You need to mention the third party seller. Amazon are selling these at £47.99

Mine arrived yesterday, couldn't believe they actually honoured the order, expected them to work out of it somehow, happy days, lol
does it come with the remote?
Does anyone actually use these often? If so, for what?

I have the v1, some good apps but for me it's a novelty. The Netflix app is great, it's like been sat in a cinema, but I could only stand 10 minutes at a time before going dizzy X)

I think the remote is a must, using the headset is awkward
I'd be a bit dubious with this, didn't the v2 model come out in April? Lots of reviews from January and a few saying it is not as descibed.
I still have mine from my order of the Note 7. I was told to keep it after the recall and I still have no idea what to do with it.
I have a v2 version with s6 and it's great..normally use it to stream 3d movies the wife doesn't want to watch..set up a upnp server from android box to pigasus rogue 1 3D was excellent
I had the version 1 with S6 edge+ and hated the grid lines so I sold it
supposedly it's better on the S8
might take the plunge soon enough. They really should be 35-40 quid for what you're getting. Might wait for the remote package to come out though.
For anyone wondering about the reviews/compatibility - I bought my VR2 direct from Amazon.co.uk and it was brand new and came with both MICRO USB and USB-C connectors.

I'm not sure if the negative reviews are people that have bought headsets via third party sellers who have actually sold punters refurbs/returns with missing parts which the seller has a result of the Note 7 debacle.

I was wary, hence paying a little more and buying direct from Amazon.
Also - does anyone know a reputable place I can buy the official motion controller from? Samsung doesn't seem to link it on their official site.

I gather from reviews the new VR3 is just the VR2 headset packaged with the motion controller, no other differences.
Says not compatible with the Samsung s8

It's available now, but work out whether it's cheaper to buy all separately

Was just about to order this as it said:

"The Galaxy Connection
Gear VR works seamlessly with Galaxy smartphones. Compatible with both USB type-C and Micro USB, you just need to snap on the connector module for your phone and you are done.

USB Type-C - Galaxy Note 7
Micro USB - Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6 Edge+, S6, S6 Edge"

But checked the reviews and people said:

"1.0 out of 5 starsFalse advertising

Does not come as advertised, no usb type c connector like is stated. Useless for galaxy S8. Will be returning."

The images show it with a usb c plug and a micro usb plug. The former is not actually in the box and so this will not work with a samsung s8."

Guess I should pass then.

You got the V2 version listed here?
Just to clear things up regarding S8 compatibility...if it does come with the USB C adapter it was designed for Note 7 and the profiles are completely different to the 2017 S8 compatible model/adapter, you can purchase the said adapter for around £12, be sure to buy the correct one.

120!?!? WOW!
You can get the "gen 2" which is identical to gen 3 without remote for 35-45 new
no way I'm paying 80 for a controller
pretty sure the vive and oculus controllers are less expensive per unit

Glad to hear that it works for your S8, I'm due an upgrade, I received a free headset from Voda, it didn't come with the USB C adapter so I have been doing a bit of homework on what to do, there are 2 adapters for sale at the moment, one is for Note 7 and the other is for S8/+, different profiles. If people start moaning about crosstalk I wanted them to know what their options are, I'll go for S8 adapter, which is fully compatible with the 323 headset.

My VR came with the adapter so I could start enjoying it from day one.
