This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Thanks to @upset.brown.pant for pointing me to this, excellent price fore new imo

Method

1. Follow link in switchy's deal thank @razo

2. Scroll down to where it says "pay for your device in full". Try not to get distracted by headache. Click on "see our plans". Unless you actually want a new contract, choose the one that says 1gb, If you can't see that option, look harder, it's right in front of you.

3. Do you have a PAC? If so, why? You're doing it wrong. If not, click on "I don't have a PAC". Make more coffee.

4. Await delivery.

5. If you want to move your existing SIM and number and contract to the new phone, use the little pin, take out the SIM. And put it in new phone. Nothing to do with PAC.
6. Find (or order) an unused SIM from another network (e.g. three because that's easy).

7. Put the o2 SIM that you got with the phone, in the phone, and text STAC to 75075. Wait for the code and write it down.

8. Go on three's website and fill in the form to use the STAC (or if a SIM from any other network then maybe have to ring them to use STAC).

9. Wait 1-2 days for the STAC to process and check that the o2 SIM card no longer gets a signal. If it still does, the STAC process went wrong, curse a lot, and phone O2 to cancel. The first person you speak to will be wrong. Phone again until you get someone who understands their own terms and conditions. Or, try the STAC process again.

10. The first month's bill from O2 will come out of your account. Don't panic. DONT WHATEVER YOU DO CANCEL YOUR DIRECT DEBIT.

11. After a month, go on web chat with O2 and say you want a refund of the credit on your bill.

The 1 II (that seems to be the name for the successor) only comes in Dual SIM config per gsmarena. That might be a mistake of course, but looks promising if true. I'll pass on this one, even though it is a great price, as I need Dual SIM.

O2 site says Expandable StoragemicroSD, microSDHC, microSDXC up to 512GB

which i think means it is.

but then it also says it's 32gb internal which is wrong, so who knows.

Yeah, I get your point, as the expandable storage is apparently only available as a hybrid with the Dual SIM model. If true, this is likely my next phone. Will probably ask O2 in the shop... Let's see!

I can confirm it’s single sim, purchased like new ones a couple weeks ago and there’s a single sim slot and SD card slot.

Sorry I've looked at google.com/amp…php and assumed that what they mean by the text next to the SD Card section (dual SIM model only) means only the dual SIM model comes with an SD Card slot.

Thought this was the new mark 2

Don't we all wish it was!
after about a dozen initial updates this is is a sleek device. liking it a lot.
Moved away from an XZ Premium to an S10+ last year.

Not a fan of the fingerprint sensor, Exynos and curved screen.

Sony phones are criminally underrated and this is incredible value! I just hope they've bought back a bubble type multitasking feature that Samsung have.
I paid £199 for an O2 Like New handset earlier this month. I'm very pleased with it but the placement of the fingerprint reader on the side is a PITA. I'm constantly unlocking it as I put it back in my pocket so I have to take it back out to lock the screen again. It's also slippy as hell!
Out of interest, anyone know if these O2 Xperias are bootloader locked (rooting is impossible)?

If there's anything that really lets this phone and the smaller Xperia 5 down vs its flagship competitors, it's the camera software (even on 10). The hardware itself is great, but directly compare using the stock camera app vs an S10 and the difference is usually noticeable, especially in low light (there is no specific night mode either). Still quite capable and perhaps an app update will trickle down from the release of the new phones.
They're clearing stock for the new 1 Mark 2
Whats the battery life like on this phone?

I know the 5 has a smaller battery but its only a 1080p screen, would the battery be better on this 1 than the 5? Thanks

Battery life is decent, I've had the phone since launch and still lasts well. Definitely requires charging every night but then what phone doesn't these days!
Ok I must be doing something dumb, I can only see the option to reduce the payments to £1 a month for the phone plus £18 for the 1 gb plan.
