Thanks for posting @OwlEye

Bit more info here around the new Zip Premier INN at Cardiff, lots of availability for the £19 rates when I had a look.

The flexible rooms can be made up as a single bed, twin single beds or pushed together to make a double. As well as a TV, there’s a small bathroom with a power shower, body wash and a towel, plus handy overhead storage and hangers.

Thats what they need in airports for people who take early flights and stay for the night instead of the benches
Just move in, cheaper than renting in some cities...

Anyone stayed in there ??
Cheap I guess but not for those who get claustrophobic
I stayed in one, the second week it was open.
The pod is big enough for just resting your head BUT my room had a window. This window doesn’t open and looks out on a corridor that has another window.

Very odd but cheap enough. 🏻
What dates are the £19 mine are showing £44

It looks huge compared to a Yotel.
Looks like sleeping in a train carriage but without the comfort of knowing you are escaping Cardiff.. or anywhere for that matter

"Supermann" - just a wannabe
Occasionally I have had to stay somewhere knowing I would arrive only later at night and be gone again early in the morning, usually before breakfast. I'm in the room 8-9 hours, at most. Shower, sleep, wake, leave.

Would I have one of these in those circumstances instead of a £70 hotel room? Happily.

Just his German cousin
The location for this is by a David Lloyd gym just off Newport Road, a long strip of retail park shops so there’s a Morrisons and various Drive-Thru options nearby.

It’s an easy trip into the city centre on a bus for less than £4 return, or if you’re brave you could walk... 2.5 miles on the flat but it’s not a particularly scenic route

That long!!??
Have you seen some of the new-builds around at the moment? 5 year at most I'd say.
Not all of them have a window, some just have a light box instead
We stayed in a Hub by Premier Inn last month. Goodge Street off Tottenham Court Road.
Excellent value and met our needs.
We would stay again.
Look for Hub by Premier Inn to find full details.
Have found Premier Inns too noisy recently. Not planning on visiting again.

It's probably all the orgies!
Already been on
Just checked out the prices for the hubs in London - they seem ridiculously expensive... 170/200 a night - what am I missing?

In Cardiff, I doubt it. From what I've seen, most girls in Cardiff clearly don't have money for warm clothes or coats.
Good value; only £19 for a simulation of flying first class...
The problem with £19 hotels is having to share with the sorts of people who seek out £19 hotels. There's an Ibis in Brighton which I use a lot for business which suffers the same: Sun-Wed night it's blissful, Thu-Sat it's like a literal warzone

Sure you haven't clicked on the rent by the hour option by mistake?
I’ve just booked for the second week of October. Should be good enough for a cheap stopover which is all I need.

You clearly have never seen old Victorian back yo back terraces, where a family would live in a 500 sqft house.

Nothing is cheap in London, last time I tried to sleep on a park bench, the homeless man tried to charge me £20 for the pleasure, and that was excluding any "extras" just incase anyone asks.

does the bathroom have a sliding door between the bedroom? I can't tell from the official images - wouldn't like to be sharing with somebody if it didn't!
