Great deal on some excellent droppers. Had a few of these over the years in various sizes.

Wondering if you can help. If you're at the smallest part of a frames height restrictions e.g. 5ft6 on a M frame, thus with the seat pretty much at the lowest point it can go, is there any point/benefit to he gained from a dropper post! Seeing as the seats already at the low point?

Nope. In fact it would raise the saddle even in its lowest position. Probably should be on a smaller frame if you are doing anything scary off road.

Can this be fitted to a frame without internal cable routing? It's an old 2012 aluminum frame from before dropper seats were a thing. I don't mind drilling it or something to make it work, but do you think it's possible? (edited)

No, and I wouldn’t drill into aluminium frames if you want a safe bike. There are models with external cable routing.

100mm drop isnt a lot, you’d have to be pretty short for it to be enough. Great price though.

Anyone able to figure out the maximum height this can be - normally have a 400mm post, but not up the whole way - these are 357mm but cannot see any matching dimensions in the description?

You usually need to have 90-100mm of seatpost in the frame , I believe 357mm is the total length,

Found this question on a another site
the stack height (rail to top of seat tube) of the 31.6mm 100mm travel post = The minimum length from just below the collar to the seat post rail clamp is 165mm

Bikes in recent years have seen frames get far lower standover heights hence they can accommodate far longer droppers 180-220mm

Get a tape measure at 357mm distance and place just below saddle and down past seat tube post , if you have 100mm below frame entry point it’ll fit

Measure you current saddle height rails to seatpost clamp to estimate the length required on the outer, in theory your saddle could be 257mm out, (ie 357- 100mm that is required in the frame) (edited)
