Branston baked beans - 4 tins for £1 at Asda

Found 11th Oct 2013
Found at Asda in Chapeltown, Sheffield, last night. There was a pallet load of them and a normal price sticker on the shelf so I presume it's nationwide.

I didn't think we'd ever see this price for a four-pack again, so I stocked up. #blazingsaddles

99p for four in the 99p shop

Banned

I have 3 tins of tesco own brand in the cupboard. They have been there since the week I moved it. I did not make much of the first tin so now I save them incase I need a doorstop. I am sure the story would be different with this brand of beans but I can just not trust it!!! You wouldn't understand, you weren't there man!

Terrificlarkfan..........thought the same......ran out at weekend .......ended up getting 10 at Lidle£1.25
As nearest Asda is 20 miles away.......unfortunately petrol is not free these days ...so swings and roundabouts.

Are you ok ????...........must have been hell of a party

these beans are lovely we prefer them to the other big brand that we only ever used but they have become very watery over the last few years I buy them from choice now.I havent found a stores own we like.

scanning at £2 at my local store....Wolstanton, Stoke on Trent

£2 online too

So at half price this is an amazing deal they have at the Chapeltown store.

HOT, HOT, HOT!

Have these changed flavour recently?, bought some the other week, and they tasted a bit funny, checked the date on them in case they were off, but they were well in date.... strange

Hot, i get thses all the time, only used to get 'heinz' but found these just as good, DO NOT GET ASDA OR TESCO own make as they are really badddd lol x

My receipt from last night, showing them at £1 a pack. I assumed it was a national price.

Go on, spill the beans

2 quid Asda Telford.

How on earth is this deal hot??? They are £1 @ Iceland and have been so for the last year at least - COLD!!!

A small knob of real butter in baked beans improves and elevates any brand.

2.50 at sainsburys on offer for 2 for a quid and 2.35 at waitrose and ocado i consider £1.00 to be hot and will stock up if my local has them, Never shop at iceland due to where the shop is positioned

This is a great deal, especially as Tesco seems to have stopped selling them.

Branston beans are EASILY better than Heinz am afraid.
Heinz (my last tin was anyway) were hard and the sauce pathetically thin.
Took the other 3 cans back to Asda and got my £2 back.
Branston will always be on offer in Asda once every 2 months -
Sad I know to know the exact price of beans in Asda - But thats my lifestyle - ROCK N ROLL baby, ROCK N ROLL !

PS - voted HOT as £1 is a great price in ASDA for 4 tins Branston beans

I'll have a look if i'm in an Asda. Best I've been able to get in recent weeks is 3 for 99p at 99p Stores or £1 at Herons.

64 tins of beans purchased in total ! Did you buy a storage facility too? Good deal, aint seen that price in ages, I'll heat em up. Whoa ! Update, checked online they're £2.00 & others here cant get them at that price locally, can't be national. I'll sit on the fence about voting hot for now.

Our spare room is a storage facility for good deals. We're still using washing detergent and dishwasher tablets from the days when Tesco gave them away free under their Double The Difference back promotion a couple of years ago. Stockpiling non-perishables gives a better ROI than any savings account these days, IMO.

Cheers for the tip, they are good beans if you have never tried them. I like their sauce better than Heinz, which is sweeter. Sometime a bit too sweet for my palate. Great deal, you won't find them anywhere cheaper than 25p/tin.

That's the right way to go as I've bought several things in the one go if there's a good deal. Even before the recession I'd done it & it does save money at the time & as importantly in the long run.

£2.00 in walsall asda

Are you Limara's minder or something?
The way his/her post was written without punctuation could be read in ways which have opposite meanings. That's fact.
