Branston Baked Beans at Asda

3 Pack for £1 or buy 5 for £3 making them 20p per tin.

This is the cheapest I've seen them since I bought a 4 pack in Morrisons for 74p C 2010.

Expiry date: December 2019

Branston beans are the best baked beans on the market, thick sauce, tasty as hell and no mushed up beans, take note Heinz, there beans are watery, lack flavour and beans look like someone stamped on them before sticking them in the can
Beanz Meanz Branston.

Nice find, hope my local has this offer.
Very Hot, I tend to buy Branston Baked beans over Heinz now.

At 20p a large can really can't go wrong, and worth stocking up as I couldn't find a use by date on mine so I assume they last ad infinitum.

Ps
I remember when Aldi opened in the UK in '94 they sold a large can of beans (store opening offer) for 0.01p anyone remember?

I remember when tesco had a price war with someone and tins of large beans were 2p normal price and my local garage was giving them away free if you bought your fuel there instead of tesco i have no idea what year but must of been 15 to 20 years ago

Maybe it was 2p, I think I'm right with year though. From memory we got 24 cans.
Great memories!

Heinz curried beans in the 70s were simply the best, especially with Smash (remember the robot ads?) and sausages, camping of course.

Sadly Heinz changed their Curry Bean rescipe a good few years back.

On a separate note, a lot of debate as to what constitutes a 'Full English'

I say

• Fried egg(s)
• Bacon
• Sausage
• Fresh tomato (halved) NOT tinned
• Black Pudding
• mushrooms (thanks yotmon).
• Fried bread (ideally) or Toast

Now we go into controversy

• Beans, not before when Heinz launched in UK early part of last century

• Hash Browns, as above but not before when McCain launched in UK, not sure 70s?

So for Traditional Full English see first 7 items

For 2018 Full English, all of above.

Basically the Full English has become influenced by our American friends.

Have a nice day! and spare a moment for our Red Squirrels.

NB
Full English is area specific, with reginal variations esp Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Standard price in Iceland and home bargains is £1 for 3
Not in Watford branch. Just 3 for £1. No bulk purchase.
Sizzling!! Best price for ages, hope I can stock up on some. Just for the Costco knockers - these are always dearer in Costco than your normal 3 for £1!

Don't forget the fried mushrooms. My 'proper' breakfast would have consisted of these with bacon, sausage, black pud, 2 x fried eggs. Beans only surfaced later in life - mid 70's and it would be sacrilege if they were allowed to touch the egg ! A small triangle of fried bread is a suitable accompaniment as long as it was fried in bacon fat, never oil. Hot buttered toast with a piping hot pot of tea completes the meal. Hash browns are not considered.

I agree 100%.
I find Tesco's own brand and Heinz are practically the same, so if you enjoy Heinz, save your money and buy Tesco.
However Branson's really are the pick of the bunch!
Anyone ever tried the HP beans?
Three cans for £1.50 in Barnsley
£1 in ours for a pack of 3
If its not online and no one else has found them at that price then how is it a deal?
Can you put a link or pic of the offer?

Miss Lovely (great name), you are missing the point, there is nothing like discussing the price of baked beans it is quintessentialy British.
Especially first week of January.
Oh please don't tell me this isn't a real deal, they've bean trumpeting it from Little Hampton to Newcarsle.
Am I blind where is the 5 x 3 pack for £3 offer? they're £1 for 3 and sell them for that in places like Poundland forever.

Another fake deal gets load of heat while my excellent Quorn deal gets less and is 100% genuine and nationwide.

I agree Heinz suck, are over rated and overpriced compared to Branston beans.

ASDA's pown beans 4 for 98p are pretty good too and I'd rather have them over overpriced Heinz any day.

I'm guessing Mayo is too spicy for you m8. Stick to old Heinz, I hear they put that watery bit at the top of the tomato ketchup bottle as their sauce...belter.

Have you been shoving beans in your eyes again or how is this not a good deal?!

£1 x 3 cans in Poundland
£3 x 15 cans in Asda

15 cans in Poundland would cost me a fiver.

Of course, you're having a laugh aren't you...being sarcastic probably?! No one really cares that much that one deal is doing better than their own. No one is that pathetic surely?!

No, course not, it's a wee jibe at all the serious folk on here! Nice one mate!

How can they be £3 for 15 cans in ASDA there is no multibuy listed

All I see are 3 cans for £1 and 4 cans for £1.50

I went into store earlier and saw no multibuy offer either.

Probably more a case of being annoyed at unsubstantiated deals getting heat.

Your incapacity to understand the deal is your downfall here.

The listing clearly states "5 x 3 pack" is £3, or if that wasn't clear enough 20p per tin.

So 300 pennies (that's £3!) divided by 20 pennies is...what do you know, 15!!!

Boo hoo that it's not in your local, if OP made up the deal they are just as desperate as you getting annoyed over it but I'll presume OP doesn't need HUKD heat to feel wanted, (unlike yourself ) and actually did witness this.

How the deal works? I am seeing no deal that is the problem.

I am well aware that 5 x 3 is 15 and 15 x 0.20 is £3 thank you

Ah right, well it's a great deal, sorry you don't seem to be aware of how basic economics work.
Fabulous deal if in your local store! Have heat OP and thanks for posting!

Sure it's a great deal if you can find them at £3 in one of the 600+ ASDA stores in the UK.

Knock yourself out.
More like beans floating in pure sugar... Just get real beans and boil them yourself if you want to eat beans..This is just a borderline JunkFood
Clear as a bell that this so-called deal doesn't exist beyond the one unnamed store that the OP found it in.

A complete waste of everybody's time unless the one store selling these 15 cans for £3 is named - if indeed it exists.
As far as I can see it's another fake deal posted on HUKD.
No receipt posted despite being asked to me says fake. Not in Wallasey or Birkenhead either.
Ah well!
Pity no one else can find this deal.
Although it got us all going for a while!

No it's not a great deal as it doesn't exist!

OP could at least have mentioned which store they got it in so others nearby could have benefitted.

p.s. can the mods not do anything about deals like this getting so much heat and making it onto the WhatsApp alerts? I just spent my lunch break walking down to Asda to look for this 'deal'. I don't mind too much as I usually go out for a walk anyway, but it would stop others from making an unnecessary trip!
I used to be a Heinz beans snob, now have switched to Branston. Cheaper and much tastier quality.
Why expired...Asda offers tend to last for a few weeks?
