That's because they taste rank and Branston have a warehouse full of them that they need to get rid of

I bought some in the darker tin and they were RANK!

Normally theyre much better than heinz, cant see them lasting though, never beat the Heinz marketing machine?

time to stock up again:thumbsup:
p.s theyre not 'rank' if you like em then good. if you dont then thats your problem:whistling:

beans do seem to be very poor these days aldis own brand used to be good but are dire now full of watery sauce

ooh i remember the aldi beans when aldi first opened in this country years ago. the beans were like 8p i think and they were the best! but then they start putting the price up and of course dropping the quality. the scum!:x

I agree these beans are really rank, bought some last time they where on offer. They all went in the bin. Morrison's on brand are much better. I do however love Branston ketchup.

Well i think branston beans are easily the nicest, well done on this amazing deal:thumbsup:

Come on Heinz, about time you reduced yours again!

I bought some of these for the old lady next door when she was snowed in and they were 87p for one tin! I cannot say if they are nice or not but sounds like abargain to me 2p for another 3 tins!;-)

The silver ones seems to be much richer than the brown tins? When they were launched they beat Heinz in taste tests cause of the richer sauce. Apparently Heinz changed their receipe to a richer sauce too.

I agree,Heinz beans use to be the best but their sauce is so watery now.great price.

little tip , add a dash of worcester sauce to any brand, voila heinz !

I love these beans, they are easily the best - the sauce is much thicker than any other brand - thanks for the info!

You are dead right.
It is the vinegar that makes Heinz beans taste revolting.
Seems to be the only type that have vinegar in the recipe, thankfully!

BBBF Best beans by far. Hot.

Branston are the best beans ATM in my opinion.

A close second however are the 'Amore' organic baked beans that you can get out of Poundstretcher. For 9p a tin - or £1.08 for a pallette of 12 - you get a fairly decent tin of beans (and I'm quite fussy).

Sorry, but I have to sat these beans are....

50p in Asda for one tin. Can't see them selling many this week!

Ewww Sparks 001. That's a horrible picture! :w00t:

I cant remember what they taste like, but no bean has ever wanted to make me be sick!

BABF - Best Abreviation By Far.

I'm voting Phil hot on this one.

I like the taste of these beans but have gone back to Heinz because for months now Branston have been half juice half bean! If you drain out the juice you'll see the beans only just come halfway up the tin.

Was at Coventry (Alvis Retail Park -Holyhead Road) store last night, and not the slightest trace of any offer - plenty of Branston beans in stock, single and 4 pack, but not this offer.

Has anyone else other than the OP actually seen any?
You will note that no-one in this thread has said they have seen any yet!

Not another single pack of Sainsburys Grapes reaches 1300 degrees+ "deal?" I hope :-(

Good point nihcaj...It's not on their website under the Grocery section at the moment, is it due t come in or store specific?

Picked up three of the 4 packs today @ 89p each from Morrison's Preston Grange (North Shields).

I love my baked beans and for years would only eat Heinz but have to say I always buy these when they're on offer and I find them scrummy - however, it should be noted that I always eat them cold and usually in a bowl mixed in with a tin of mackerel fillets so my tastes might not be the same as everyone else's lol

I ended up paying £1.49 at Netto yesterday, still, better than "full" price, which seems to vary between £2.29 and about £2.60 (Somerfield!).

Not a time to stock up though :-(
