I prefer the ones with more surface area

That’s fantastic. Thank you for sharing.

Agrees. These really hurt fingers if the valves are a bit tight

I know what you mean, I go around with an old cloth to catch the water droplets, I use the cloth to hold the key if the nut is tight.
Another radiator bleed key deal. Happy days.
Not taking anything away from this deal, but 59p from toolstation if you don't have a screwfix near you.

In these times of austerity it can all come down to a radiator bleed key to pull us out of the doldrums.
Clock type better for keyrings.
The reason these are called bleed keys because when your fingers slip off them it's guaranteed you will find the only bit of sharp metal on the radiator, hence bleed key!

Do you wear a bunch of keys on your belt loop? if so this will make you stand out some more.
Fit a auto air vent no need to bleed

How much? Never heard of one. I’d be interested if the price is right. I’m forever bleeding mine.
If you have to bleed it often you could put and auto bleeder somewhere in the system it has a float valve that lets air out

I have them on the heating manifolds

This guy knows his stuff 👌🏻
If theres anything on HUKD thats gonna get a heatwave badge its a vent key.
These are always ignored until the radiators start acting up, then they become famous.Invaluble little tool 🔥
Not another bleeding bargain. Did you see what I did there?

There are some that mount directly onto the radiators but not sure how good they work, I never used these

rover.ebay.com/rov…067

I implemented the valves in our other house where some of the radiators are old cast iron ones and it was almost impossible to bleed the system well but after replacing the bleed valves with auto valves the system bleeds itself and you can hear air coming out even few days after filling the system but now after some time it has been silent

Thanks. I’ve got some old rads in this house with no TRV and no way of bleeding either. This could be ideal.
Waste of money just put a inline auto vent in it will vent the system

We had no trvs either as the system was originally for coal burner but now woeks off city heat

Used these compression connectors onto steel pipe but got a pipe threader later to do the rest of the rads, heat can be controlled around the house now

Good work. Like it.
Good work lol looks like del boy done it.
hot445915/01/2020 21:36

So what do you want to know

I never knew there was such a thing as auto air vent.
Ok this will solve all air problems in radiator systems automatically well worth fitting and better heat from rads
