Great thermometer, had one for nearly 5 years now, quick and simple, an absolute must when trying to take a baby/child's temp. Very reliable.

Fully agree, a must in every household with kids!

This is cheaper than the one I bought 5 months ago. I'm buying a second one for backup. All other thermometers bought prior to this are useless in comparison.

Good spot MrMuir. Just ordered

When i had Swine -flu it read 41c !!!........ Thought i was going to die.......
Excellent item to have around just to keep a close eye on the temperature!!

Ordered thanks! Got 2 little girls aged 2 and 3 so think its about time I had one of these! x

We got one of these too, about 5 years ago from boots using our boots points.. Invaluable and reliable

seen this a few days ago, ended up buying one from tesco for £38, our baby daughter had a bad cold so could not wait for delivery. brilliant thermometer.

Brilliant. Its what I use at work (and I'm a GP).

£1.10 cheaper than when I bought it last week.
Also don't forget to get the covers 200 for £12.50 on amazon ...not bad beats all fleabayers!

Just did a quick price check, couldn't find it any cheaper than this. The next price closer to this is 29.99 at shavers.co.uk with free delivery. We have tried several tesco, asda and even another brand ear thermometer - bought the real one now :-)

Probably going against the grain here, but remember you have to have a spare set of batteries as used mine a year back with new batteries and my little man was poorly this Xmas - batteries flat and I had no idea what his temperature was, so Im back to the old fashion one in the mouth, still good price tho

What a load of overpriced tat. Voted freezing.

Good price!

Just what we needed my husbands been going on about a thermometer for our 2 girls as they have been unwell over the festive period. Great find just orderd mine (_;)

Also had one for 5 years fantastic item and never been wrong compared with hospital ones!!!

£24.50 even better thanks

Even better, order it from Mothercare online and then get them to price match.

They will match it and then send you a £10 voucher!

They'll match instore as well, you just won't get the voucher.

How do you get the voucher? Mothercare are selling for £42.99 which is not £20 more than Amazon. They only send a voucher on items they are selling for £20 more than another seller.

Not so, its not to do with the price difference. Just if the price is over £20 on the website you are matching. See below:

Yes I wondered that too, but when I rang up 15 mins ago, the lady on the phone didn't even ask the price or website I wanted to match, she just put it through at £24.50 and sent out the £10 voucher.

Oh and I used Quidco too, but it hasn't tracked yet.

Thanks to the OP for the Amzon heads-up, maybe they could do add the Mothercare info to the first post.

They wouldn't price match for me, said they'd give it me at £27 as that's what it's priced at at Pharmacy place!
Oh well cancelled the whole order, so their loss Ordered from Amazon, thanks op

Strange, I'd have rung back and got someone else.

Update: My Quidco tracked at £2.14, will see if it gets paid.....

I thought about that but she was such a jobs worth I couldn't be bothered, she went off to check 3 times. Anyway when did Amazon not become a reputable retailer, she said they could only go with the Pharmacy Place price as they were a reputable retailer

Managed to get Mothercare to price match and send £10 voucher but needed a little persistance.

I placed an order on Mothercare website then rang to ask them to price match. They customer service guy told me that the order had been already sent to 'Shipping' which meant that he couldn't alter the price, but to call back in a day or two and they could do it then. (But if the price goes up on Amazon, they'll only match the price on that day). I then asked him to cancel my order and then place a new order, matching Amazon price of £25.79, which he did but then tried to charge me £4.95 for delivery! After I pointed out that Amazon deliver for free, he removed the delivery charge. Had to clarify about the £10 voucher too, hhmmmpp.

Maybe the guy I spoke to was just a bit reluctant to honour the deal, hope it goes smoothly for the rest of you! Advice - ring first on 0844 875 5133 to place order, confirming price match and voucher!

Phoned Mothercare. Were reluctant to price match Amazon, then they did. However the difference could only be refunded when I received the item, so I asked them to cancel the order and place a new one. The assistant couldn't guarantee my order would be cancelled in time and she couldn't place orders so asked a colleague to phone me. Was 10 mins ago, stil waiting.

Where is it priced for £24.50? still £25.79 on Amazon.

Finally sorted I think for £25.79. No one phoned me for an hour so I phoned back. Then when I got off the phone I found out I was charged £1.95 delivery which I was told I wasn't going to be. Phoned back again to get that refunded. Will ave to look at my statements closely.

Thanks a lots, I just ordered from mothercare, they said they will be sending the 10 pound voucher too..

Thanks - got Mothercare to price-match.

Needed one quickly for a family with flu, 23rd December. Mothercare price matched in-store.

Just spoke to Mothercase price-promise guys, they said what they are selling now is 4020 (not 4250) which is priced ironically higher on amazon 34.99, so i would say still best bet is amazon.

Then their picture is wrong on the website, as it def a pic of a 4250. The on/off button is the giveaway.

i just rang the guys. put through with no problem.price matched and voucher in post apparently. depends on who you get on the phone i think.

Now £24.50!

Can the Mothercare pricematching be applied more than once? Mine was matched at £25.79. Now at Amazon for £24.50.
