I paid just over £12 for 200 about a month ago from Amazon. Steer clear from Boots, they're very expensive from there.

Thanks - 3 kids with flu at the moment

aww yes - get in - ear thermometer filters. brill.

great deal cheers

Great thanks, my kid has a temp of 39.8 right now, anything to worry about? she still seems happy, Bought as well great price

canada16- try giving calpol if it doesnt bring it down then contact doctor

Yeh did that, and it does go down to 38ish but during the night its almost 40, but seen the brain wont get hurt unless it goes to 42, Woke up 5 times last night checking her temp

If that was me I would be moaning and in bed, but she is running around playing, got to love kids

Excellent price - thanks OP.

Last time my son had a fever, NHS 24 told me if it hit 40 to get him to A&E. That doesn't inlclude a sleeping temp though. Horrible going through that isn't it, you can't stop worrying.

Thanks just bought one of these this week as all got flu virus!!

canada 16 any chance your little one has an ear infection my little boys temp was like that this week took him to doctors and he has ear infection so his actual temp wasn't that high just infec in ear causing it?

best to give calpol + ibruprofen suspension at same time brings temp down better but then after calpol every 4 hours ibruprofen every 6 hours

Thats what i was told to do when my son was little and had febrile convulsions i stagger them by 2 hours, also don't wrap them up in duvets it just makes thing worse. Hope all your little ones are better soon.

Heat OP

You can alternate ibuprofen suspension and paracetamol suspension every two hours, as I understand it. Don't give ibuprofen to kids with asthma though. My youngest has a temp of 38/39 at the moment and there was a confirmed case of swine flu in her school this week, so all very worrying. Her cheeks are very hot too, though she is happily watching tv and chatting. I hate it when the kids are ill.

Have some heat OP for a good spot. We have run out of the covers (just using the termometer without at the mo, but not sure if that affects the reading) so will be ordering these pronto. Thanks again.

Thanks

boght these from boots yesterday at £8.19. Have ordered these as its a good deal. my boy was at about 39.5 last night. just gave him paracetomal and temp went down slowly.

Brilliant! Thanks very much. I have also been ripped off by Boots in the past. I have been using the same one on ours for a while as run out (!)

Perfect thank you - we've just got over an evil nasty virus and are running low on these, couldnt have been a better time/price.

You really don't need to change these every time you take the temperature if it's for one person, advised that by staff at very well known and respected hospital, they only change them every time because they go from kid to kid. Perfectly OK to use unless the end looks a bit manky.

One of our boys has gone up to 39.5 but the paracetamol and ibuprofen is doing the trick. Does no harm neither to get a damp cloth on their head and strip them off. When the temp shot up last night within two hours, this did the trick.
