Most companies work this way. I don't think any company (excluding cottage industry/small enterprises/true premium luxury) manufacturers a product completely in house.
Stick with Kitchenaid
Or stick with kenwood Kmix

Ok let me put this another way, for years Braun made and designed their own products. Now they are made and designed by another company, delonghi who pay Braun for the name. This is what licensing is not that Braun get another company to make their products for them. Braun only make razors and oral b stuff now, don't have any of their own factories making any kitchen products any more.

So if you buy a Braun kitchen appliance it's really a rebadged delonghi one.

Oh and plenty of companies have their own factories making their own products not just cottage industries.

Ok so which is THE best food processor at this price point with the same functionality? rebadged or otherwise. that would be something useful to add to the mix. pun intended

I didn't know that. My old Braun food processor is brilliant, great German engineering, de Longhi to me says style over substance. Kenwood are also owned by de Longhi, but I get the impression they are still engineered in the UK. It sounds like Braun are just a brand name put on de Longhi designed products. Unless anybody can correct me on that?

I HATE how all these brands become twisted and abused....

I don't know but the below is the reason why I posted, most people will remember the old braun as being a brand you can rely on, no idea how good or bad they are now, its just they are not the brand people remember. Like the English brand Kenwood, another brand people grew up with, also now owned by delongi.

no that's correct, from the braun website "Braun is a registered trademark of Braun GmbH, Germany used under license by De'Longhi Appliances S.r.l "

did anyone who ordered get this? i got sent a juicer instead and have to return and the food processor is now OOS!!!!
I never got this item after ordering - wrong product picked and JL let me down
never buy a kitchenaid. Massive looking bulky machine with 600watt power, it can't handle doughs and juice/ ingredients leak into the motor shaft. I sold mine.
Just got this deal for 69 pounds(no pound sign on my key board American made)when I clicked the link right product shown hope this is sent!
