That's rubbish. Buy the Philip's 5000 trimmer. U won't regret it. It takes only 1 hour to charge with the battery lasting an hour. I've had mine for about 2 years now and the battery hasn't detoriated and it still performs very well.

What about the 7000 series grooming kit at Argos for 34.99 is that better than the 5000?

Is this the one? Phillips 5000 trimmer @ £34.99 on Amazon. That's pretty low looking on the Camels (it briefly dropped to £25 in January 2019). I need a new trimmer, so I appreciate the reccomendation.

It's got mixed reviews but on paper it is better value because it's a newer model but check the 5000 out. It's got fantastic reviews and I've only got good things to say about it. The 7000 has a built in vacuum which apparently collects "upto 90%" of hair so if that floats your boat then go for it. But like I said the reviews are more positive on the 5000

Yes it is. I got it for £32 about 2 years ago. Go for it I say. It lasts one hour, takes one hour to charge, warns you when the battery is low (orange light flashes), fully waterproof, cuts hair with ease and its built to last! Mines still going strong

That one seems to be from a different multi-groom range as it has an MG partnumber. The beard-trimmers all have a BT partumber. There is a BT7000 series that looks like a step-up from the BT5000 series, but that's not the same as the £34.99 one on Argos.
The one I bought from Aldi over five years ago is still going strong.
I think I paid a tenner for it.
Has to be a philips
