Was looking to get a rechargeable toothbrush, now may be the time...tfs

now if some kind soul could tell me the difference between each one or which one is reputed to be best I'd be grateful, Ive been looking for one for ages.....

Thanks. I missed out on the 8500 when Argos and Boots had a similar offer a couple of weeks ago. This price is almost as good. Ordered!

Not sure how the Oral-B range works but the 8000 model is £31.03 in Costco (Amazon is £38)

I was doing some research and its the oscillations that are important (this on has 40,000/min) everything else is just bells and whistles you can probably live without.

I was recommended anything in the 40,000 oscillations oral-b range and the Philips Sonicare (which is alot more expensive)

Been looking to buy one of these for ages, and it so happens to be payday!

Great find. Heat+

I've got the 8500 its awesome.

You get spare heads and tongue scraper add on with the one I got, 25 pound in Tesco in December I paid.

Unfortunately, I weren't on this site at the time for you lot to

i have the oral-B 5000XL, got it free with tesco dental insurance :-D no needa go dentist now lol
anyway its an ok electric toothbrush, does the job, recharges easily via hub u put the toothbrush onto.. usually takes 6hrs and gives you 3-4hrs of life. One issue is that it likes to sleep for a millisecond every 1minute.. dunno why, maybe its to do with the spinning mechanism, not sure if all toothbrushes do that. overall good toothbrush, my teeth are extremely white, I can tell who uses electric toothbrushes and who doesnt haha

excellent been waiting for a good deal on electric toothbrushes

It's not going to sleep every minute (LOL) it's telling you to move on to the next part of your mouth to clean.

i.e your mouth should be cleaned in 4 parts (top left/right & bottom left/right) you clean one section at a time then the toothbrush will as you said sleep for a millisecond - this means start the next section :-) Simples !!

If it does it once per minute you do your mouth in 2 parts (like my old Braun); top & Bottom. I think the newer ones have 30 second timers to do your mouth in 4 parts.

Anyway, the point is 2 minutes of brushing is about right for an electric toothbrush, after that you're just wearing your enamel away. So check how long it runs before the pause.

Menat to buy one of these yesterday forgot about it but left the page open, just added to basket and it's £16.50 now, I saved another quid yay

A trip to the hygienist prompted me to invest in an electric toothbrush. I know with many things you get what you pay for but I can't justify £100+ on one at present.
This is still at £16.50 so thought I would comment and say thanks. If it doesn't do the job then I'll splash a little more but I've read some positive reviews so can only hope.
