not as good as the tesco offer the other week but still not bad

Great tooth brush but this one doesn't come with the bluetooth smartguied so cold. Pay extra and get it if you are thinking about it. You'll regret it if you don't!

hot and the tesco was pretty minimalstock gone in a few mins
bluetooth = what is the great advantage??

your serious ? ! an extra 19 pounds for a bluetooth screen ?! I'm struggling to see how this would benefit my teeth when the brush is the same - after 29 years of brushing my teeth I think I'm familiar with the process and need little advice or assistance.

The irony is that that may not be true....ask any dental hygenist the percentage of people who's brushing technique is perfect or correct, and I'll bet that itll be less than half!

Even so - agree about the screen!

And you're voting cold for the dumbest reason.

Voted hot from me. Great price. Don't need a bluetooth gadget to assess how well I brush my teeth... just use my brain. :whistling:

Only those who haven't used the smartguide would say that. I also paid £50 for this with smartguide several months ago. The non smartguide brush has always been this price. Tesco post was hot. This is not!

That's what most people think but you most probably don't. I was sceptical but the smartguide really does help you give a better clean. Google it and read the many, many reviews

Just what we need in a recession - a £50 toothbrush!

Pretty useless gimmick.

A bit too expensive for a tooth brush, dont you think? I mean you are only going to use it once a month when you go pay the council tax. So whats the point?

I got this a few months ago for this price at Amazon. Great price but no different than usual.

I had a dental specialist (who had just operated on me) tell me that I was doing more damage to my gums with an electric toothbrush than good. I have been using my Braun for years as well.

£50 is an utterly ridiculous price for a toothbrush no matter how you look at it.

This is a poor deal but it is a great toothbrush. The smartguide detects when you are brushing too hard and lets you know. One of the many reasons not to buy this one at this price!

Interesting - my dentist advised that I start using an electric when I had gingivitis - cured it very very quickly! Was told its the best single improvement you can make in dental hygiene!

And maybe he told me to stop using it and to use a toothbrush instead. Maybe he also told me that there was nothing at all wrong with my teeth but my abrasive cleaning of my gums with the brush were not helping me and were causing reduction.

Just maybe mind you.

I have both the smartguide and non-smartguide versions in my house and definitely don't think the smartguide one is worth paying extra for. The smartguide version has an extra 'polish' setting but I personally use the 'clean' setting which is available on both versions. Other than displaying the time, the smartguide has been of very little use to me.

exactly my thoughts.

who would pay £19 extra just to have a little screen with a countdown timer on it telling you which quadrant the toothbrush should be in? :whistling:

Hell, the brush signals every 30 seconds anyway indicating to move the brush and only a goldfish would forget what part of the mouth the brush had been in already lol :-D

Hi all. I'm after a new electric toothbrush and this one seems to fit the bill. A few people have said the product is good but the price is not. Does anyone know where I can get this cheaper then?

Thanks

Can you choose which tooth goes blue?

Those saying screen useless have not got a clue what they are talking about! I have the 9900 (can return after 2yrs if not happy - do you get that with this brush?) and got the gimmick, I am a smartarse and previously thought I brushed my teeth correctly but this 'gimmick' showed me I didn't and I find a clock quite handy for the middle of the night and for travelling.

My 9900 has extra setting and with the correct head it gives a great result.

Evolution, a toothbrush is for brushing your teeth not your gums ninkempoop!

Who'd have thought a toothbrush could provoke so much controversy.

Whatever happens don't post any deals for new Bathroom Suites or we may have to call in the UN

I have the the 9900 which has the pointless gimmick. My baby daughter uses it as a pretend mobile phone. The brush pulsates each 30 seconds, with 1, 2, 3 and then 4 pulses, so you know when to change quadrant and how far into the 2 minute cycle you are.

If you cannot feel that in your mouth then a digital display is not going to help you !

:-D well said. Some people like paying extra for needless gimmicks ;-)

I should probably add that this is an excellent toothbrush: £50 is a small price to pay for clean and healthy gums and teeth which, if used properly, this toothbrush should result in (think of the savings in dentist bills in future years). It's recommended by dentists across the UK and also comes with 2 years warranty + an extra year if registered online so 3 in total.

Are you people for real?

No seriously, do you even know anything about dental hygiene?

Brushing your gums is as important as brusing your teeth because most tooth problems are cause by poor gum health NOT tooth decay.

not a good buy, you can get the guide version for a few pounds more, voted COLD.

what muppet told you that you should BRUSH YOUR GUMS? :whistling:No wonder your dentist said you were damaging your gums - This is hilarious!

You brush along the gum line. This doesn't mean brush your gums lol

Heres some info for any other ignoramuses from the dental association:-
