How good is this? anyone used it before? All the review seem to be in exchange for a free product or part of a promotion even on amazon....
Ah the when premanent isn't actually permanent claim.
Blummin waste of money these things!
Ohhhh i am so tempted the reviews are good to buy or not to buy
Does this really not work then? I'd love to get rid of hair permenantly, that seems to get thicker every year

Reviews on super savvy are from people who were given one for free. I know, because I reviewed a toothbrush for them.

She looks happy safe in the knowledge that her shrubbery will be cleaned in the armpit zone.

Interesting - tks for the info I won't think about a Nono any more.
Are you going to get one of these - if so I would appreciate your comments on it when you've tried it out.
I have one of these and if you follow the instructions to the letter you will see drastic reductions in hair growth, the first 2-3 months you must do it weekly and then only maintenance treatments after that. If you stop the hair will grow back but it is finer and slower growing. I would buy again, especially at this price.
I have This one read the reviews here.

Note Braun Silk-expert IPL is most effective on light to medium skin tones with hair ranging from natural blonde to dark brown or black. The device is least effective on very blonde, red, grey or white hair where the smaller amount of melanin does not absorb the light.

My beef is the 'permanent' claim, which is untrue and misleading.
Permanent means forever doesn't it?

Not using this product (or other products with the same claim) for a few months or so after you've been regularly using it for months and the hair will grow back just like it used to, sure it may be easy to use in the time you are using it but you've spent £150 or more for the privilege!

no procedure is permanent because previously Dormant hair will inevitably become active at some time. however from my research these machines reduce hair growth by around 25% in the first 3 months of use, so it needs patience and discipline. whether its 'permanent' only time will tell.

I have the smoothskin pro which has different settings and skin tone sensors and it has made a difference, i've only had it for a short while though .. it really doesn't take long to zap various parts of the body. it says to shave (which i'm not prepared to do), but for first use I didnt - i waxed and I waited for some re-growth before zapping. I haven't had to wax since.

there are other machines that incorporate both ipl and no-no style treatment in one unit (i think philips make one but far too expensive for me) and they work on any skin tone/hair colour.

it is similar to lumea (they have a big range though) - reading through the blurb this appears to be the made by cyden which i think is the same as the smoothskin pro (looks the same) that I have. this machine though does have different settings and nothing about suitability for facial hair. (just checked on Amazon they do say it can be used on the face)

No! (though I doubt it was a serious question)

for me it has made a difference - though its early days. anyway far better than the more painful waxing - epilator.
