Thats why its good as it is only £160.

Also since my last braun razor lasted for about 3 years, if you added up all the dispossible, mach3's mach4's, blades, shaving foam, balms etc, I wonder how much you would have spent in 3 years? probably quite alot!

I only need a pre shave lasts ages, cleaner carts last about 2 month's each, £10 for 3.

I am not trying to mock people that use these razors, it's just to me, £160 is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a razor and it continues to amaze me what companies will charge. It's like the new braun toothbrushes for about £170 (in Boots I think) - are the really that much better than the 7000s you get for about £20?

I bought a braun a few years back (was top of the range with cleaner, lcd display etc - £160 notes ) and I found it really, really uncomfortable to use to the extent it is now gathering dust I have been using a Fusion (not powered) since Xmas and this is by far the best razor I have ever used. I have only got through 5 blades (although I am fortunate that I don't need to shave everyday!) and about 2 lots of King Of Shaves gel. Horses for course I guess

Tried this but keep getting: Sorry, promotion code SHAVERS20 does not apply to the item(s) in your basket.

Offer over I guess. Does this apply in stores?

I paid £88 for the Philips HS8060 at Argos the other day, and a better razor I doubt you will ever get for the money. A razor can only get skin close to achieve the ultimate goal, and this one does. I can't see the point in paying another £80 to achieve the same end result personally.
It may be a good price compared to RRP, but I think that here are better deals out there to tell the truth.

For me its a toss up between the Philips HQ8150 for £75 and the braun 360 complete for £105. Its the old rotary vs foil debate. Not sure which is better. Any advice?

I've actually got the one that was everso-slightly before the 360 (the activator). It's the same top-of-the range one, with the LCD display, and the clean and charge thingmy.

It's kinda been upgraded to the 360 - on account of the foil and cutter now sold for these being the 360.

I have to say, I actually prefer the previous, non 360 foil and cutter, so at some point, I'll probably switch back.

Apparently (from comments on that shaver website) this newer model hasn't been as well received as the previous range of shavers. So if you're happy with what you've got, I'd be inclined to stick with it.

I think they are a great shaver - the best electric I've used - although as I said, I'll probably go back to the pre-360 foil and cutter if I can find any new ones.

The clean and charge thing is simply ace - feels and smells like you are using a brand new, fragrant shaver each time you use it.

How do you find the 360 shaver?

Go for a linear drive razor - they beat the pants off these cr*p ones that run out of juice when the battery runs down.

Linear drives do not lose rpm's until the battery is completely flat...

What are one of those?

That's ignoring the premise of how these shavers and units are used and work.

These don't run out of juice, or don't normally have opportunity for the battery to run down.

They have a clean and charge unit that you tend to keep them in, and because it's good to clean the shaver after each shave, it means that in usage, they are always kept clean and always kept charged.

They also have some logic within the shaver, that knows when best to "condition" the battery, by completely discharging it and recharging.
