Wish I'd known this beforehand, I'm on my second foil in less than 6 months. It seems like they are designed to wear on purpose you can hear the difference between new and old. If you apply pressure to a 'worn' head the noise disappears and it works as good as new!

I have had Braun in the past but the cutters didn’t last very long and were fairly expensive. Then tried Panasonic, good close shave again replacement heads expensive but worst of all was battery life. Started well but then tailed off, after about 12 months, would only hold one day charge? Then moved to Remington and the charge, after 8 years, still lasts for 60 minutes. And I have only replaced the heads only once.
