Epilating hurts and a bad experience may put you off for life. Just get the new one. Or get this one then the new one so you can appreciate the improvement
Bought one last week used it for 1 min . total agony will never use again
I have the braun 7681 silk epilator. The one that was on the tely a few months ago. And its not total agony although the first time I used it brought tears to my eyes. But I've gotten used to it. And it doesn't hurt as much any more. Like waxing.

This is a an old epilater so I'm guessing its gonna hurt a 1000 times more.
What's the new one ? My mrs wants one of these for Christmas
The 323 odd reviews on Amazon.com seem to rate it,although there are a few 1 stars.

Braun Silk-épil Xpressive Pro Wet & Dry 7681 Rechargeable Epilator

I have this one, bought from Amazon. I thoroughly recommend it. I did buy entry level initially but before long I wanted rechargeable with lights (and bells and whistles). This one does the job nicely. However, I would only spend this much if your wife is sure she wants to go down the epilation route. Too many first timers never try again so they do not appreciate that it really does get less painful if you persist.

Totally agree with you, I have this one too and really like it. And if you can persevere for a few times it definately gets 'bearable'. Best hair removal IMO.
The current new one is the one with the glade/venus technology, although I don't like that, since it's half epilate and half shave. You'd be doing it ever week...

And I do agree it gets bearable. I can now use the big attachment on my arms, instead of the small attachment. A lot quicker.
Thanks guys
