Lowest ever price on Amazon.

Today's deal of the day - ends at 11.55pm.

These are very accurate and used widely by doctors and nurses.

Hope this helps someone...

Edit: If you need or want an in-ear thermometer with a backlit display, then the next model up (Thermoscan-7 IRT6520) can be had for £35-£38 - see link in post #9.

Cheap genuine replacement lens filters available here

Great deal thanks, heat added!

Thanks for this, will be very handy as we are expecting baby in two months

thanks. ordered

Great to have but must have a backlighting otherwise its impossible to read without an additional source of light. Have older model and its very very convenient but at night useless

Shame it's for ears only

If a backlit display is a must for anyone, then this one seems an albeit pricier but reasonable deal.

The lack of backlight is not an issue for me personally (if there's enough light in the room to see the kid's ears you can usually read the display without waking anyone up) but I do appreciate that we all have different priorities and a backlit display is important to some.

Hope this helps...:)

This doesn't have a a backlight too, unfortunately. I also have two cheaper( bought at around 15 quid each) thermometers with both ear and forehead function, but they are not as precise, especially using the forehead function.

Not too sure which thermometer you're referring to - the one in the deal posted or the one I linked to my post #9 above (Braun Thermoscan 7 IRT 6520)? The 6520 definitely does have a backlit screen and an in-built night light -see the specs and video here.

Hope this helps...:)

I was talking about Braun ThermoScan-5 IRT6020, about which is this deal, that it does NOT have a backlit screen.

Yup, correct. Hence the other link to a thermometer that does. Hope you find what you're looking for....:)

thanks

Can these be used with babies?

it depends - you may be better off with an underarm (or rectal if you're into that kinda thing) thermometer for smaller or prem babies though.

One of our boys was fine from birth, the other we went underarm for the first month or so. He was full term but needed the tiny inserts normally used on prem babies when the health visitor did his hearing check though, so has abnormally small ears...

Hot! If you don't need the back light and the traffic light indicator of the Thermoscan 7, save yourself 10-20 quid.

They can't stop you using it elsewhere.

Just shut the curtains first.

Thanks, ordered. I generally guess the children's temp which has been fine but it can't hurt to know.
