I've had about 3 different brands of these now, and all have been returned due to becoming inaccurate and leaving us unable to tell if our child has a temp or not as they can give 3 different readings in 3 consecutive tries. I can't speak for this exact model but we've given up now, the only reliable thermometer we've got is the cheapest - an under arm that seems to get it right every time. It's getting a hammering at the moment with 2 poorly babies

Still, voted hot due to price alone, that's the idea of this site

Braun thermometers generally well regarded in the medical community, usually the thermoscan 5.
7 ears! Must've been made for snow white. I've the tomie tippie one and its accurate and half the price.

Sympathies for the poorly ones. Mine has been perfect and it's what my GP uses.
Used to use the under arm one but trying to get a 2 year old to be helpful whilst taking temp usually ended in a kick in the face or use of deadly armoury in form of parent seeking projectile vomit.
