I posted this deal, at this price, back in November and it went cold. This is a great deal, but never judge a deal by the votes it gets.
The irony is that it probably comes from China as well.

Another product to lower parents IQ. Why not

Why would it lower their IQ? How else do you propose taking a temperature reading? Surely the only way to do it is with a thermometer.

Thanks, ordered. Been waiting for it to be on a deal.
This is a very good price for the thermoscan 7. Used and abused by the ambulance service 24/7

I have this and can highly recommend its reliability to other thermometers on the market, including Braun's other versions (some of which I also have). Very quick and easy to use vs the under the armpit ones.

Sorry for the question, but does this offer forehead and ear readings? My little one HATES in ear thermometers, can’t keep it in there long enough to get a reading 🤪
thanks OP, was actually looking for one. Ordered.
We have this, it is good just don’t forget to buy additional caps for the end (cheap as chips)

No, this is just the ear thermometer!
Hot! Paid £45 from Argos in November. Great device. Armpit thermometers are recommended but these are far easier for a 10month old who barely sits still!
Hi guys, I'm heading to Wuhan, China for a two-week holiday. I'm going to be out and about, especially at the fresh meat market for most of the time. I'm also a close talker, meaning that when I speak with someone I stand really really close to them. Was thinking of buying this?

When you return wash you face in the bathroom to cool your face. They're stopping anyone who's face look red hot on the thermal camera.
Great price, i paid £39 for it on Amazon back in May 2018.

HOWEVER - word of caution. An annoyance for us of this model is that it defaults to baby mode each time you turn it on, so if you want to test an older kid or an adult, you end up having to flick to the right setting each time you turn it on. This wasn't the case with a simpler, older model but this model is more complex. They just didn't think well enough on the functionality

Might be worth looking in Tesco. Spotted a similar forehead version for £34.99 yesterday.
Bought this at £30 and has been worth every penny. During teething, tonsillitis and chicken pox. Definitely recommend it at this price.
It's really bright in night. So sometimes you can struggle to see anything else in room.

Extra 2 winter months of sick kids will explain that extra heat now . Soo tired . BTW have one of these it's good.
Have one of these and when your little one has a temp it's brilliant to have something that is simple to use that won't trouble them too much. Recommended
Thank you for posting. We have added your thread to the Highlights pages.

With a high enough IQ, you can stick your finger up their arse and guess the temperature perfectly!

Cheapest ever I think
I wonder if they've solved the Battery Contact to PCB Board issue that's plagued by 3, meaning that the spring battery contact wore off the gold contact on the PCB, and it failed for no other reason. Solved by putting a new layer of solder down where there was once a contact.
When i looked at a friend's 5 last month, it was the same design of contact, so assume the 7 is similar..

Still, heat for the price.
We’ve tried the non contact ones before which are worse than useless. (Can take 3 readings in a row and all completely different) hopefully this will be better. Taken a punt anyway-ave some heat
Will this ever go £25?

Can you point it up any other well known orifices that are usually suitable for thermometers?
Ordered! Thanks

It’s a tympanic thermometer so it sends an infrared beam to the tympanic membrane of the ear. Always worth doing both sides to get an average measurement. Rectal thermometers are still the most accurate although slightly intrusive if you want to see if your child is Pre-pyrexic.

Incidentally; do you know that difference between an oral and rectal thermometer?

The taste!
