I've just got one of these and they are fab! Wish I'd bought one a long time ago - all that time spent trying to hold one of them ones that change colour on a baby's forehead...Very quick and painless!

These are great, not just for people with young kids

Took my kid to the docs who told me you only need to change them now and then. She only changes them for each patient coz some folks are a bit mucky. As you know;-)

Grrr, I bought the 4020 one a couple of weeks ago and the 4520 was about £10 more. If it had been that price I would have got that one. Though I think the only difference is the memory capacity, so it's not a huge leap in functionality.

I've been really impressed with how easy the thermometer is to use and how apparently accurate and consistent the readings are.

We did have a Calpol branded one from Lloyds chemist and it was worse than useless, when I had some doubts about the children's readings I tested it on myself and it gave a succession of readings in 0.2C increments from 36 to 40C!!!!! It went straight in the bin and I ordered this.

I just give ours a wipe between ears with a baby wipe. If they had an obvious ear infection then I would change the cover each time.

No, we made the mistake of ordering loads of them, still got most of them left!

We only change them if there is ear infection or something

Obviously they have to change them every time in hospital etc, but not when its just used at home
