Good price.

3DS might be going out soon due to the Switch but 3DS RPG's are starting to go up in value. This will be one of them.

What you say is true... Alas, this will be a game that I will never (ever) get round to playing.

I'm happy I picked it up the last time it was in offer. It wasn't only with the intention of selling it on but if it increases in value that will be good.

Iirc didn't this have pretty decent reviews when it originally released?

Bravely Default II for Switch incoming. Looking forward to it as the two DS games were top notch.

I enjoyed the first, until I got to the "end", and found I was supposed to repeat it multiple times. I didn't play much more after that.
Worth playing the first one first, or can u jump straight in here?

You can jump straight in. It's like you can play any Dragon Quest game without playing any of the previous iterations.

I wouldn't use the same analogy here. Bravely second, which is already Bravely Default 2 features the same characters from the original. I would expect reference to the previous games to feature in this one at the very least

Yes, that's true, but it's a stand alone story. Works just as well on its own.
Yes it's a standalone story, but you've used what people would consider an inappropriate analogy. Not trying to argue here or anything with you, just trying to make sure that the person you replied to is fully aware of what they're getting into

If you're the sort of person who places value in lore and "world" history when it comes to RPGs then you should absolutely play the first 2 games first.
