Andy McNab joined the infantry as a boy soldier. In 1984 he was 'badged' as a member of 22 SAS Regiment and was involved in both covert and overt special operations worldwide.

During the Gulf War he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol that, in the words of his commanding officer, 'will remain in regimental history for ever'. Awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM) during his military career, McNab was the British Army's most highly decorated serving soldier when he finally left the SAS in February 1993. He wrote about his experiences in three books: the phenomenal bestseller Bravo Two Zero, Immediate Action and Seven Troop.

He is the author of the bestselling Nick Stone thrillers. Besides his writing work, he lectures to security and intelligence agencies in both the USA and UK. He is a patron of the Help for Heroes campaign.

Why is proposing someone buy the physical book and do good for charity a trolling post?
Whenever I go into a charity shop there are often 1 or 2 copies for sale for about £1.
Before you buy it and make amazon more money perhaps consider buying a hard copy and doing some good for a charity. Just a thought

Definitely one for the Digital Library!
Great book, enjoyed all of his books even the fiction. If you enjoy this you will probably enjoy most of Chris Ryans too. Heat!

The audiobook version is also very good as is 'The one that got away' by Chris Ryan, about the same mission
Brilliant read. Would highly recommend it and Chris Ryan’s book is equally as good.

I think it's you that's the troll. Get a grip.
Oh, I remember Andy from the time we spent in Nam back in '60s. Great lad...so now he is a writer...god for him.

As far as I'm concerned:

1) Charity shops do not always have a copy, which means I have to hope one turns up in a shop at the same time as me, some day.

2) If you want to give to charity as well, do so. It's still only £2. Buying from Amazon and giving to charity are completely unrelated unless somebody has drawn a line joining them.

3) If you buy from a charity shop then Amazon gets nothing, but so does the author.
