Yeah I second that! We have a Panasonic bread maker it’s fab, but without flour it’s obviously useless.

friend orders some the other day from the mill, no restrictions so they ordered 4 for £8 delivery, they sent 1 bag as they added restrictions didn’t ask though and still charged the full delivery.

Brexit preppers have flour & yeast, we stocked-up some months ago (people laughed, now they are annoyed/jealous but we have flour)

Never struggled to get flour at a smaller local Sainsbury. Yeast is simply impossible to obtain in shops...... I ordered some from Ebay though.

Yes I haven’t got any flour and some people have lots. Definitely makes everything much better now you’ve pointed that out. Thanks.

Thanks, looks as though they only deliver around London.
Thanks for the tip
For anyone who doesn't mind making the dough, a slow cooker for £15 is a fine way to cook bread. For those unable to buy yeast, have you tried googling how to make your own culture? It's not difficult. And brewing yeast is an interesting substitute...

no annoyance or jealousy here, just disgust as my 90 year old mother-in-law struggles to buy basic provisions.

Bought back in November, no fighting for it in the supermarket. The shops were full then.I also stocked up my 90 year old mothers cupboards. Food supply disruption was widely forecast in the case of stupidity in the EU leaving process (threat not gone away please note). I took note, if others did not that was their free choice but I will not accept disgust from them because they didn't take notice of the warnings back in November it was your free choice.

Agree with this. The people who quietly bought stuff when everyone was trilling about Coronavirus being no worse than flu and/or some sort of Chinese plot are not to blame. Why didn't you advise your 90 year old mother correctly or buy provisions for her? Why do you blame other people for your oversight?

No oversight here, I’ve plenty. No trilling going on either. My anxiety levels associated with impending doom are kept in check too. As is my social distancing. However, my mother-in-law is in charge of her own destiny and is vulnerable. There are local sellers peddling £5 per bag of flour, as it’s no longer available in the mainstream, why? It’s the butter mountains in peoples’ garages of course! Self preservation, prudence? I call it selfish! Times like these we see the best and the worst.
