No completely separate part of the company, you can just buy this breakdown cover if you wanted hope that helps.

Seems cheap, a hell of alot of bumf to read through to find out what you actually get though. The top one including European breakdown seems very good value, I will have a look when ours comes up for renewal.
I wonder what happens when your car turns 5 when you have the insurance.

Heat Added...just purchased UK Recovery :-)

Not quite lol same name as Kwik Fit but runs from a separate company.

I dunno why people always seem to slate KwikFit; I've often taken cars to garages (not JUST my local one!), and I've always had excellent service, and never been ripped off. I commented on my car making some odd noise whilst driving and I had my car up in the air in no time, they took all the tyres off, checked everything they could, including the brakes etc, and ensured it was fully safe to drive. It took them just over two hours to look at my car, and they didn't charge me a single penny!

I believe they are both part of the same company, start rescue is great and have used them before really helpful etc cant comment on this kwik fit one only can look at the reviews but it always comes down to the ££££££

Good prices.

you can effectively cover 2 cars with this, i.e. insure her indoors car as the named car (all drivers covered in it), and add personal cover for £15 which will cover me in my car (or any other car I drive)...about 42 quid for full UK cover, home start, recovery

I use IC Breakdown full UK recovery unlimited number of times just for £35 a year. My car is 8 years old. So cold for me.

perhaps because they're not fully trained mechanics for a start. they're trained in house by kwik-fit which includes a comprehensive course on the art of 'upselling'. we all know what that entails....

Kwikfit are no worse than any of them tbh, if you go in there know what you want then you're fine. Went in there to get my aircon gassed up because of their money back offer.

If you can't get cover because your car is too old then go with Green Flag. There's usually cashback via Topcashback and it's really cheap. They're usually with you in less than an hour, I'd they're longer you get a discount on renewal. The only time they let me down they put the job in the wrong Q, I tweeted them about it and without asking they gave me a free renewal & cheque for £50 too much much better than RAC & AA.

This is hot too, thanks op!

Cheap but KwikFit breakdown has awful reviews.

I went with Qdos this year - cashback etc - great reviews & only a little dearer than this...

I don't know what their breakdown cover is like but kwik-fit insurance were very amateur when I had to deal with their customer services a few years ago, not sure I'd want to rely on them with a breakdown. Also isn't this the sort of cover that would rely on local companies rather than a fleet of their own professional breakdown recovery vehicles.

AA and RAC also use local companies as well, always found them sending the local companies was much better than there own fleeted ones.

Same as green flag, this is why they have such excellent response times.

Used it once.

They use local guys....Mine turned up on a rusty old van with a frayed rope to tow me to side of road.

Decided it was my battery & put the leads on it. Did no diagnostics etc.

I took it to my local garage & they did all the tests to determine it was my starter motor.

I paid £60 odd for my cover. Won't be renewing.

That's a really good deal!

maybe I'm reading in the wrong place but is the car covered or the name driver?

£30.71 for my car so i'll stick with autonational

WTF, 10%? Didn't bother going any further.

I've just gone with green flag, recovery plus £61, £50 cashback through quidco effectively £11, it tracked ok, so hopefully I'll get it.
