Breakfast at Ikea for 95p with free (unlimited) tea/coffee/hot chocolate

Did you know that in Ikea (definitely in the Croydon one anyway) you can get full cooked breakfast - sausage, bacon, egg, hash browns, beans, tomato - for only 95p? And, if you get there before 10am, you get a free drink with unlimited refills included in that price as well?
A bunch of us Mums get together for brekkie sometimes after dropping the kids off at school and head to Ikea. A very pleasant morning is had by all.

Last time i was at the croydon ikea, they didn't have the free tea/coffee with the breakfasts. However i could still manage to get the free drink with the use of those ikea family cards thingys. 95p for breakfast and tea is quite

Yep, forgot to say, if you have the Family Card you get a free drink anyway, Mon-Fri.

Nice one. Im a dad myself, but I am still able to slck off work to enjoy this offer (although Thurrock is my nearest. does the offer still count there?)

Not sure to be honest. Breakfast will still be 95p, don't see why the free drink shouldn't be there as well. If not, just pick up one of the Family Card application forms and use the card in there. I think the Card is worth hanging on to anyway, because it gives you a discount on certain items around the shop.

Oooh great price... Never tried their breakfasts but Ikea's fries are yummy

Music to my stomach!
You know how to make a man happy!

Must give it a go, though I do like the hot dogs!

I love biting through the skin on the hot dogs :giggle:

That's a great price but I really don't trust the quality of Ikea food.

I remember I tried there hotdogs out before and felt sick on the way back and then I ended up coughing out blood.

What have we told you about eating IKEA BRUMHANDLS eh?
The splinters get everywhere!

It definitely weren't ketchup because I remember deciding to try out mustard for once.

It was strange that I felt sick shortly after the food but my gf saw the blood as well......maybe I could sue them and get a free hotdog as compensation. :giggle:

Sounds superb - but do you have to collect up all the ingredients and make the breakfast yourself?

It's all flat packed, just needs a hammer!

Its been 95p in Edinburgh for several years. You get what you pay for. The hash browns are ok but the egg /sausage and bacon are all poor quality. Still its good for something to do with the kids.

moved away from croydon 4 years ago, would go back, not even for breakfast LOL
Good deal though, if you can find a parking place :giggle:

Better idea for the kids - the Milton Keynes store has a great ice-cream machine at the same place you buy the hot dogs. Only 35p and they just give you the cone, my daughter was a bit miffed and sent me back to ask for the ice-cream..........put the empty cone in the machine and it fills it with ice-cream & sauce for you, looks magic too.:giggle: :giggle:

That's a bit harsh - you recycle your kids into breakfast:w00t:

That's been going on for years. Also ciabatta bread with meat (2 bacon slices or 2 sausages) with tea/coffee cup for same price.
They also have 2 meals for £5 from time to time. Also tea/coffee cup is free weekdays if you have their family card.

Have had this cheapie breakfast at the Leeds store a few times. Good value but for some reason they seem to have the slowest possible servers working there and although there are only about 6 choices for breakfast they seem to take about 5 minutes serving each person...then you queue again to pay.

A good price if you are heading there anyway (and are not in a hurry).

It depends on the time you go. The Leeds store canteen gets busy after 10am on Saturdays.

Yeah Thurrock have the same deal.

it's useful to have somewhere cheap and cheery to go to whilst shopping in a massive place with kids. because of the nature of its size and setup it is usually in an industrialised area so it can be a task to look for food besides mcd. for us it's just an option and convenient ... not to mention 'safe' and family-friendly.

i could do with that now ,,, well worth 95p

I'm still chewing the last one i bought, that was in March.

At the Ashton store I once requested an extra sausage instead of the grilled tomato and the woman refused on the grounds that they were 'trying to make the sausages last' (it was 5 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast), but then she offered to sell me the sausage for 25p! So I had a BIG row with her over it, she was so rude to me. LOL!

Top tips for Ikea:

Get a coffee cup instead of a soda glass, this is then free, but then 'accidentally' fill the cup with cola instead of coffee.

Buy a 35p ice cream cone, fill from machine, lick ice cream out of cone then get free refill. If challanged just say that you don't understand English and so couldn't read the sign which said 'No free refills'. :giggle:

I really like IKEA food  I always have fries, peas, 10 meatballs in gravy, lingonberry to drink & dime cake for afters! I'm never up early enough for brekky! It's making my bl**dy hungry thinking about it though!!!

Well I don't feel guilty as I once got 9 meatballs instead of the specified 10, PLUS they wouldn't honour a BOGOF on the meals even though it was quite clearly advertised in their 'Prices valid until August' catalogue. :x

The coffee cup is only free if you have the family card and not valid weekends.
Also, why don't you bring your own cone?

Yep, I only go to Ikea during the week in the evenings...couldn't cope at the weekend with all those pushchairs and oneway routes!

The ice cream machine only takes specific cones and will only 'pay out' if the cone is a certain weight, it's all very clever!

I liked the look of that tempting breakfast a month or so ago and got up extra early one Sunday so I could drive up to the Birmingham/Walsall store and grab the brekkie at opening time before loading the car with cheap tealights and driving home.

How disappointing to find they don't serve this breakfast on Sunday of all days!

Still, the ciabatta with two sausages was good value for money but not quite the same.

Does this come flat packed with bits missing and dents....? Like other Ikea products...

Unlucky. Happened to us too one Sunday morning. Thank God it's only 2 mins from where we live.

Every Ikea in the land has been doing these breakfasts for years.A better option is the bigger breakfast for £1.65 as you get and extra sausage, extra bit of bacon and a roll and butter.

Could you be the stingiest person ever? Don't blame the the Ikea girl either - a grilled tomato for a sausage is hardly a fair swap!

A ten-year old offer is certainly not hot! Get a grip!
