Seems a good deal to me.

Original Poster

55 Clubcard points and £0.56 cashback via Quidco too. It's the deal that keeps on giving!

does it come with ultraviolet codes as standard on all breaking bad box sets? it makes no mention of them with this.

Yes, that box set comes with code(s) (can't remember if it's a single code, or one per season). I bought that box and the whole lot is on my UV account.

That is 6 months Netflix cost. More than enough time to watch the entire season.

Breaking Bad[ly].

Has anyone seen that BT advert lately were they watch the entire series of BB in two days straight. Its actually not possible.

IMDB says it is, with 90 minutes to spare (Each episode is 45 min, not an hour)

imdb.com/tit…pec

90 minutes left for disc changing (or selecting the next episode on Netflix), bathroom breaks and putting the kettle on a few times

I haven't included 'Talking Bad' (Netflix) of the minisodes from the DVD boxsets for obvious reasons

I read the episodes range from 47-50 mins in length.

Seriously, this is considered saving money? With a decent internet connection you have this on
Netflix in super-HD (1080p and better) quality for 6quids/month.
Heck, even for free if you can be bothered to create as many emails to get free 1month trial multiple times... No internet TV? Putting those £45 towards an AppleTV or a Roku is a far wiser move as media is moving to streaming. Embrace technology and stop hoarding crap because it's wrapped in shiny metal. It'll be worth less than its packaging cost in no time.

Netflix superHD is a gimmick and will never be as good quality as a blu ray disc, (what's 1080p amd better??) lets not forget all the extras and audio commentary that fans like to watch. Oh and the sound, Netflix doesn't come close to the sound you get from blu ray

The netflix argument on every breaking bad thread got boring a long time ago....

Yeah - seen so many arguments for and against. Personally, I prefer to have the discs on hand. Being an old cynic, I'm not sure Netflix will have this available every year for the next 10 years. Also, having dabbled with streaming via Amazon Prime, I've had the odd evening where either my connection packs up, or it decides to present me with a VHS quality picture when one of the kids jumps on an iPad.

A Blu-ray purchase ensures I can watch whenever I feel like it for the next 10 to 20 years for a very reasonable one-off payment. Not to mention extras, resale value, guaranteed audio/visual quality and free lending to friends and family (if not the guarantee to get it back!)

Boring. Overrated. Predictable. Yep, I went there.

Heat for the price.

Or do as I did and take advantage of the market. Bought it for £40, watched everything and sold for £50.

I use Nextflix as much as the next person on here, but the Bluray quality of Breaking Bad is MILES better than what Netflix offer, even on their highest setting.

If you really want it for free, you can download it....

Anyway, Netflix 1080p bitrate is very low and blu-ray also offers significantly improved sound.

Fair enough for Netflix vs DVD, but blu-ray is a much better quality than Netflix.
