Sexy watch.

Is this an automatic watch and does it have a sapphire crystal, if it does it is a good buy. usually the cheaper ones come as quartz with just a mineral glass. This is no doubt waterproof to 200 metres for that price as well.

Ooooh nice watch, tempted to buy for hubby

Crystal material: Mineral Glass
Movement: Quartz
Water Resistant Depth: 100 metres
a bit disappointed.....

Vastly overpriced for what it is even at the reduced price, you could get a Sekonda with better specs than this. I have heard of the make but i am not sure where they get the original price from

only a cheap quartz movement

seiko would be a much better buy (or save up for a decent Rolex like mine)

Breil make some nice watches - I've got a couple. Solid and well made.

Omega and so do Rolex make very good watches, but for an every day use - there is nothing wrong with a Seiko!

could not find one listing on here for a rolex, do they have them in the pound shop?

Whilst this particular watch seems like a good deal. I find it odd that they sell watches for about £95. Surely any decent watch company that sells watches in the range of £500 wouldnt sell £95 watches?

Do Rolex do 'un-decent' watches as well?

Buy some of the good Invicta watches- but get em off the Amazon com site (they add on import duty and postage but still massively cheaper in many cases and hundreds available).

The Invictas are cracking watches, the Japanese automatics are good as are the Swiss movements.

You are better off with a seiko or citizen

At this price i'd rather look at Seiko or Citizen or at the RRP you could get a Hamilton Eto or Jazzmaster.

Hot price though Op I'm sure someone will want one

....Invicta are another good shout wakeywarrior, some of the older ones actually had Swiss movements.

It might be a cheap quartz movement, but it'll be more accurate than an automatic !

This watch has quite a nice quality (jewelled) Swiss Ronda 5030d movement and a great battery life of over 4 yrs on a standard silver oxide cell.

So no, it's not a cheap quartz and no, you're not necessarily better off with a Seiko or a Citizen, unless you want to spend many more hundreds of £'s and get one of their higher quality movements.

A nice watch, if looked after, it will serve your for many years, and if it does stop working and it's not the battery, it can be repaired as the quartz movement is modular and parts can be replaced on Ronda's. Not your throw away cheap quartz movement then?

Deciding to order watches on the internet is hit and miss-for a start they do not tell you the most important thing about a watch-it's weight. It's a matter of preference but I prefer to be crrying as little as possible!

Very good looking, but can be a Quartz so expensive? RRP £525 and on sale £190!
I though it was an automatic!

Don't buy a high quality watch then....

Badger1010-Depends what you define high quality-to paraphrase Mr Beckham, at the end of the day you want an accurate time peice. By the way my current watch is a titanium and yes I did at one point wear stainless steel watches with more steel in them than a chieftan tank! Believe me when I took the damn think off at night my arm felt releived.

I had a Seiko titanium watch and it told the time fine (like every other watch I ever had did), the "super strong" titanium clasp lasted a little over 12 months before snapping......less time than a leather strapped watch. I could never find an exact replacement so gave up for cheaper watches which enivitably have lasted alot longer.

This is a good quality watch.

At the end of the day its your preference that matters but for me wieght of a watch is an issue and retailers on the internet for some reason do not give the weight of a watches.

Hrhr Bravo I do understand the appeal of the analogue movement, but my Casio with WaveCeptor has "perfect" time. My brain likes the windy windy old fashioned, and the new fangled.. Ahgghhh, I should get both

Titanium scratches easier. But is lighter. Its the lightness that is the appeal, not its toughness.

Weight for weight titanium is stronger than steel so you use less of it-but as it is expensive it is used very economically-but I would expect Seiko to be better than your average watch.

Lots of similar Breil's on secretsales.com at present... Milano's for 150-160 territory.

I also find some watches very heavy and take this into account now when purchasing a watch, I have a titanium one and although massive is very light and comfy, I was tempted to go for the Casio on the other thread but at 219 grams it is very heavy to be dangling around my wrist.

Good luck with that, mine was £150 in the sale. Very light, you wouldn't know you were wearing it but could have just been a design flaw from seiko as I always take good care of all my stuff.

Going to put mine on ebay for 99p no reserve.....I will stick to Nixon watches from now on.

any comment about this?

In 1989 I bought a Seiko cronograph that at the time cost me £200, it stopped working last year, 21 years it lasted me, I changed the battery about half a dozen times in that time, never had it pressure tested and never had it serviced. It still kept time as good as I first got it.

I now wear a Breil for general wear amazon.co.uk/Bre…26S and a Rotary for more formal occasions britishwatchcompany.com/Rot…gle
