Have been after one of these for ages but at nearly £500 for the 500GB I couldn't quite justify it, and they've hardly ever been discounted by retailers. Richer Sounds reduced this model by a little a few weeks ago but now it's down to £399 which is a cracking price for an ingenious bit of kit. Unfortunately for me in the meantime I've spent only £20 less on a 64GB Brennan B2.........

Link?

Link just loops to UKhotdeals?

500gb was a lot a few years ago but seems not a lot now.

Can you change the hard drive easily?

Having now googled it - I'm not clear from the reviews what is so great about this seven year kit???? Anyone?

Very happy with the decision. Currently around £270 for a 2TB model.http://www.novafidelity.co.uk/cocktailaudiox10features/http://www.richersounds.com/search/cocktail%20audio%20x10

This is but more up to date capacity and format wise but it looks a really cheap market job at the back: spring clip terminal and a 3.5mm line out.

The newer cocktail audio units - x12 onward - look substantially better quality for connections etc.

It certainly isn't massively premium materials wise but functionality has been excellent for the 3 years or more I've had it. Nice colour screen for album art, a web interface for controlling the player plus adding file details or artwork, regular firmware updates and forum support and effortless to change the hard drive. I bought it without one and just added my own.

They do more premium models but they're a step up in price and weren't available when I originally bought the X10 - novafidelity.co.uk/coc…ry/

I got an email from Brennan with details of the new model with Wifi capability
Anyone got or used one of these?
I'm tempted
I see mention of a novafidelity but that is around £700 unless I'm looking in the wrong place?
