So presumably the correct description is "To relieve stress, insomnia, …So presumably the correct description is "To relieve stress, insomnia, anxiety ADHD in people with Autism"

No because people who don't suffer from autism can also experience stress, insomnia and anxiety.

I have suffered from anxiety, depression and insomnia for many years. I just wished I’d taken your simplistic, helpful advice and “stopped crying over it and grow a spine” years ago - I could have saved myself and my family years of untold and needless suffering , not to mention adding pressure to the already stretched NHS Thanks for your valuable input

"To relieve stress, insomnia, anxiety ADHD"Are they for real?

Weighted covers have been used to treat people with autism with good results, so ..yeah.

My point is these claims are sweeping statements. It's cheap to try but there is no one size fits all for these conditions because they have radically different input variables; environment, financial, sleep, diet, microbiome health, emotion, recreational drug and pharmaceutical drugs and unique biochemistry are some to contend with. By all means try it but remember someone is making a claim and trying to sell you something based on that claim. Buyer beware.

So like any other product with a subjective user experience then. Some people can tell the difference between £800 headphones and £8 ones. Others can't. YMMV

Heat ! Thanks so much! I’ve been looking for a weighted blanket and they have been so expensive but this is perfect - thanks!
Serious question from a genuine anxiety sufferer....how do these help relieve it??
angie5513/03/2020 19:18

I have a similar weighted blanket for over a year now. Surprisingly I thought it would be hot last summer. In fact the reverse, the glass beads seem to dissipate the heat and I didn't have any issues at all. I hope someone else might comment along the same lines.

Hmm was thinking of getting this but seems to be polyester cover as they have a cotton cover one which is more expensive. Will polyester be hot and itchy?
I get awful insomnia but dislike anything weighted. I can see the point for others and for autism etc, just not for me.

Ignore them they're being an idiot.

My wife's weighted blanket cost over a £100 when she got hers - I think Ill get her a second one at this price. She swears by it, I tried it but it didn't work for me, I think they're great for people with related issues and the price is a steal.

Interestingly I really struggle to sleep after a very high intensity session
How do you wash these? Doesn’t say on ad? Anyone have experience on if you can stick them in washer? Thanks

When you have a child that suffers some or all of the above, you would do anything to try to help them, i would sell everything i own to help my child, who suffers daily from anxiety, stress and insomnia.

I know the feeling. As I said there isn't a one size fits all. If this works for you then it's worth more than money.

You are so right @andy_wedga my teen goes to the gym 2/3 times a week, she loves it and always comes back on a high, other days she doesn't want to be alive so at the moment we are trying anything and everything to help her xxx

Tough not to when you work. Evening ride starting at 6:30pm. Smash hard for an hour, ride home and then it's 8:30pm. Body full of adrenaline etc.
Tried to zoom in on washing instructions bottom left but could not make out far left wash instruction

Yep. Been proven through many controlled studies that training first thing in the morning (before eating) yields much greater benefits. A load of metabolic pathways kick in which deliver results through the day.

Obviously it's much tougher to fit into a working schedule though.
