You can see in the picture it has a Solar panel on top. Will be picking one up on the 19th, broke the handle on the one I got at the moment

It looks like the lamp has one built into the top and then you plug anything extra into the lamp unit.

Who doesn't love gadgets

Picture looks a bit misleading

looks like an external USB solar panel on the picture that you need to buy yourself
I could be wrong but I don't thing so

No, that's a phone you're supposed to be charging with it. The solar panel is on top. It's tiny, so will take forever to generate any useful amount of power, though.

Ah no, I see what you are thinking now. I think (and hope) that is meant to be a mobile phone as a demonstration of what it can do. If you click through, it shows the solar panel on the top a lot clearer than the tiny piccy up there.

It's gonna be crap and no use to charge a smart phone from That tiny solar panel.
But for a fiver il give it a shot.
Il just sit there and wind my phone back up to 100%

Fiver? Are you sending a smack head in to nick you one?

Would be useful if you could charge it from a socket and is the rest to top up.

I don't think this is going to be any use to man nor beast. The cell is too small to charge it or a mobile in a realistic time and to actually wind it up to charge it would require wrists that are ginormous from far too much other activity to be healthy.

This is a LED lantern with a tiny tinny radio on it - deal with it.

If you want solar power get a 3 or 4 panel one from DX.com

Then plug it into this instead

COCO

I dont think this will be worth a tenner.....I have a similar wind up lantern (purchased from Amazon) and it is pony.

It may come with a solar panel, however the Sun is not included, which may be in issue in UK...

Maybe you could hook up a windmill?

you not seen my guns?

bought this when camping this weekend.

it has a powerful light and an "okay" radio function. but you need to let it charge in the sun all day long, otherwise you will spend the night with someone being a "radio monkey" and sitting there constantly winding it just to play music.

the plugin phone cable is a stupid idea. would have been much better to supply a 12v car charger to charge the lantern instead.

probably not worth a tenner. just buy batteries instead for a decent LED torch and get a separate radio. (though all that would prob cost more than £10)
