Whilst this is ok, would suggest you look at a weather station that is internet connected. Ecowitt are worth a look. You can share your data with the metoffice and other crowd sourced weather data sites, and can view your data anywhere and compare with other local weather stations.
If you don't need a display console and are prepared to use your phone to see your data (and because it's internet connected you can graph your data, see trends) then this is a good starter system for about the same price.
