Spotted this in sainsburys middlesbrough yesterday. Seems a decent buy for a couple or your mam and dad

The Breville VTP169 is a 1.5L capacity slow cooker, constructed from stainless steel with a polished finish.

This compact slow cooker is great for individual servings, couples or smaller appetites. There are a variety of meals you can cook over a long period of time in a slow cooker, from stews and casseroles, to curries and paella and even desserts.
With 3 heat settings, you can cook for up to 10 hours.

Using the low setting will gently simmer food for an extended period of time and is great for when you want to cook a meal throughout the day whilst you’re at work. The slow cookers low setting can also be used as a ‘keep warm’ function, which is useful whilst waiting to serve a meal.

The slow cookers high setting is ideal for when cooking dried beans, pulses, or chicken and will cook food in half the time required for the low setting.

Setting your slow cooker to ‘Auto’ will first cook your food on a high temperature, and then reduce automatically to a lower heat setting. This setting is deal for slow cooking meals overnight or when you are away for most of the day.
The VTP169 has a removable ceramic bowl and cool touch handles for serving at the table. The bowl is dishwasher safe meaning you can clean it easily after use.

bargain love my slow cooker!!!

For slow cooker owners, is 1.5L not a bit small for the kinds of things you use a slow cooker for?

I already have a slow cooker. Takes her ages to make my tea!

Depends how many of you there are to feed! I use mine to make casseroles, spag bol, curry... anything really up to an including cooking joints of meat. There's only the two of us and as we both work it's fab to come home to an easy, ready cooked dinner

I bought one of these when it was £11 and thought it was a bargain then!!

It's great for a lazy pulled pork dinner - small joint with a little bit of stock is plenty big enought for 2 people.

The only down side to this is the lid is not as heavy as I'd like so when it's simmering away, it's like water torture listening to the lid rattle away... but nothing a tin of beans resting perfectly on the lid handle didn't resolve...

good find
