Think that's the wrong item and picture
Would be worried at dispensing water from a light bulb.

A 2 litre capacity?

Sorry not sure why this is pulling through an old deal details.
They're great for elderly or disabled, but I'm not sure they're a practical replacement for a kettle. I did vote hot though as I'm sure I paid more than this for the one I bought.

I bought one as the bases on previous kettle kept getting discoloured probably due to not boiling enough water I.e. returning the kettle to the base with little water left and a hot element post boil.

This solves that issue.
My girlfriends got one and i think its rubbish compared to my tefal quick cup.
You'll have to take this with a pinch of salt but I'm pretty sure I saw this kettle in Asda for £30 (on sale).
If you're after one, I'd suggest a cursory look at Asda before you pull the trigger.
Have one of these and although its handy and can get a quick cup of tea I feel that the water doesn't come out hot enough which means my tea doesn't taste right when I use this kettle

I dont find this to be an issue with mine, had it for around 2 years now
had one for a few years, water comes out plenty hot
never had a kettle put boiling water in a cup

this one says its variable dispense but its not really, it boils the normal about for a cup, even if you have it on the smallest, it just dumps the water back in to the holder
so i leave it on the most and just hit the button when its filled the cup

far better than a traditional kettle on the bills
it wont suit all but what does

Better (perhaps, and cheaper) to get a TASSIMO machine, and have not ONLY a glorified kettle, but a machine that can make you other POD drinks if you choose...at a good temperature BUT as a kettle? (via a barcode water disc) you are given the options of delivering 150ml, 250ml, 350ml and/or 450ml of hot water, but with the ability to stop delivery at any time...or add extra as required, PERfect methinks.

I use 1 of my TASSIMOS solely for this purpose of HOT water dispensing, to make not only my normal teas & coffees, but also the odd POT NOODLE etc etc.

Get a NEW tassimo, and receive 2 x £10 vouchers against future purchases of pod drinks BUT if yer sure yer not gonna use em?, gift em (or flog em fer a fiver/tenner) to somebody who will...WIN WIN
