You are right but you get two different pods to adjust the way you want coffee also you can program it to your needs to make it extra strong and adjust the milk you want in coffee
Keep an eye on the amazon warehouse, we managed to get a £600 Gaggia for a tiny bit more than this (£180 I think) and the only thing wrong with it was one service menu setting was set wrong, so that's why it had been returned by the first buyer. Quick five minute fix which meant the brewing unit was in the correct position and all was well.

Which one? My parents have the Anima which I love but it's way out of my price range at £400-500
My DeLonghi bean-to-cup died (3rd dead of the same model in 3 years...) so I bought one of these.
Makes an excellent coffee, but I bought another bean to cup (not a DeLonghi ) as this created a lot more mess - I was getting ground coffee everywhere
I like the look of this, wish I hadn’t just spent £80 on a nespresso

Ese pods would probably make less of a mess?

Lol I really like it to be honest you can adjust the milk and also coffee mix so can have to your own taste
I have one, brilliant bit of kit. Note BREVILLE won't supply spares so after warranty ends you may as well throw it in the bin. I use Lavazza coffee which is in all supermarkets.
how easy/hard is to keep it clean?

Milk container can be stored in the fridge?
This was never £300 in a million years, it’s not even bean to cup so imo might as well just buy a dolce gusto for £30 if you want to use pods , or am I missing something?
Or spend a bit more and buy a delonghi magnifica when there’s an offer on - great coffee machine , had 2 now . Only reason I got rid of the first one was to upgrade. I wouldn’t be without it.
As for beans if anyone is interested, Lidl’s own #3 are great and on par with lavazza red .
But it’s everyone’s individual taste at the end of the day

We have this too, it's awesome. I really like thick foam in a latte/cappuccino but all the ones with the steam/froth arms never made a nice frothy one (just a bit on top maybe) but this makes awesome perfect foam. Love the machine, works fantastically. Anyone know if you can put the milk / water jug in the dishwasher? the manual says nothing about it.
Looks pretty impressive to me!

God dam it!

Anything from Sage/Breville is usually great. I'd suggest one of these for people who just like coffee with no fuss, but if you're interested in a more active creation and a much better drink I would suggest the Barista Express from them.

Also for the love of god buy freshly roasted coffee. Something like Union Hand Roasted Coffee is barely more expensive and actually tastes of something.

There is a noticeable difference with more expensive espresso machines, I think most people are just putting cheap coffee into cheap espresso machines and not tasting a difference somehow. Only espresso machines are usually expensive though, the parts and use of pressure is the difficult area, you can always get great coffee for cheap with the many forms of brewing. (as long as you buy freshly roasted coffee)

Look at a cheap espresso clone from Aldi and you can see what £300 can even still lack, a machine that applies pressure based on resistance, so you never get a properly extracted shot.

Genuine question buy "freshly roasted coffee" from where?

Genuine question buy "freshly roasted coffee" from where?

Most cities have multiple local coffee roasters/independent coffee shops or you can order online from them. Also Union Roasters available at Sainsburys are one of the good ones you can easily get. A good rule of thumb is to ignore a best before date and look for a roasted on date. If you like coffee, it makes the world of difference over something like Taylor's etc which will have been sat around for months!
Is it possible to just do a cup of hot frothy milk with this? So I can make nice hot chocolate and hubby can have his coffee’s.
We were not big fans of this machine. It stopped working after 3 months and we had to send it back. Even before this issue the coffee wasn't great and the milk was always too hot and not silky. The writing on the front had come off at that point as well. Overall I would give this a big swerve and if you can stump up the extra get a SAGE Bambino. We got ours for £200 and the difference in build quality and result is like night and day.

Yes, but the milk is not fantastic.
Also forget the RRP it is inflated.

This product is just garbage .If you came from instant to this you probably will be amazed like most of the reviewers are lol!

If you buy a more expensive bean to cup coffee machine for example a De'Longhi Eletta Cappuccino which is by no means really expensive the difference is night and day!

The truth is that you get what you pay for.
