Found 10th Apr
Looking through the site for deals on sandwich makers (as its lunchtime) and found deals for this at both Tesco and Sainsbury for £25 (or there abouts) but the deals have expired up to £35. I noticed a popup appear suggesting Amazon were doing it for £24.99 so if you missed it previously, its available again.

Well worth the money and one of my most used kitchen gadgets.
I have this. Been over a year. Used regularly. Solid! Paid £20 for it. Worth more

I agree we have used ours for past year constantly,we use if for bagels, naun breads and toasties.
Not sure what else can do with it now
Out of all the "buy-it-use-it-once-and-put-it-in-storage" appliances i use my breville panini press and breville (sporty) blender the most...
The VST 026 is much better as it is bigger and allows more cooking space the weight helps press down on the bread to make it cook quicker too.. I like mine and it gets used regularly, but there are other products which do a lot more, such as grilling and have adjustable temperature. They cost more, but if space is a premium and you want more then you should consider these.

Works really well for aubergine slices and potato rosti too - I think I might have the slightly bigger version though, if that makes a difference.
The VST49 is the same price and is often reduced to £22. I'd get that instead
Thanks OP.

Looked at the reviews, and there are complaints about the VST049 not heating the top plate as well as the bottom one. This one by OP seems better.
Got one of these for this price from Argos recently and have to say I love it. Now hopelessly addicted to cheese & ham toasted bagels.
The massive pro is nothing seems to stick so its super easy to clean.
Its big enough to fit 2 standard size slices of bread side-by-side so you could heat 2 toasties at the same time.

Steaks, burgers, chicken breasts (butterfly first), bacon - only limitation is your imagination ! We even use ours to reheat oven chips. Only thing I haven't mastered is cooking an egg on it. Ours is used a few times a week, now on our 2nd after wearing out the first one after 3 years hard labour
Would this be a better alternative at the same price? amazon.co.uk/gp/…rch

We went through a few different types before getting the breville, all the others ended up in cupboards due to lack of use before being dumped, this breville is in a different league.
